It does Brady no good that so many of his fans seem so intent on disparaging & diminishing one of the outstanding QB's who he is playing in his era.

If Manning sucks, and - as the current SB champion - is a real choker, then ol' Tom didn't have to do too much to distinguish himself during these years, did he?

Brady is cool, and the Pats players all seem like decent fellows (well, everyone but Harrison); it's too bad the fans have to act the way they do.

"it's too bad the fans have to act the way they do" - you mean like trolling another teams board to tell them they act bad?

Manning is a small game QB but otherwise he has all the skills. Its just his peanut shaped head cant take the pressure.

I dunno he seemed pretty impressive out there today:

12 for 18, 163 yards 2 TDs no int, no fumbles. Manning is solid, I would not be surprised if he lead his team to the SB.

Good point. Not in Brady's league, but solid.

He also got his second playoff win much quicker than his big brother ever did. (His big brother also plays football professionally, fyi.)

There's NEVER anything wrong with calling an idiot, an idiot.

Actually, he played really well.... but, did anyone catch him when he was on the sidelines? He looked like a zombie, just sitting there and staring. Contrast that w/ Brady who is either locked in convo. w/ McDaniels, talking w/ his receivers, or generally just pumping up and connecting w/ his team. The intangible little things like that make a difference in the playoffs.

He played well until the end of the game when they needed him most.

1-7 0 TD 1 INT

After seeing the colts-chargers i said to myself that manning is atleast 2 levels under brady.
You gonna tell me that a guy who is 7-7 in the playoffs can be considered on the same level as a guy who is 13-2 and just went 16-0.

Brady is just about the greatest QB ever and by the time he is done he'll be standing alone at the top.

Enjoy it because we are seeing one of the greatest athletes in the history of sports doing it better than anyone else.

This thread is ******ed. If Brady was wearing blue and white and Manning blue and silver you'd be saying the exact opposite.

Peyton Manning is either the best or second best QB in the league and a top 5 all time QB. His accomplishments in no way diminish what Brady has done and while for my money Brady is the QB I'd most want to have here there is nothing wrong with acknowledging, however begrudgingly, how great Manning has become. There is no way you can say he choked today.

I honestly do not know why some of you seem so antagonized by Manning. It's immature.

That message didn't strike me as a troll message. This is the first message I've read from him, but it was pretty on target. A little humility never hurts.

Manning is not a bad quarterback, classless, or any other negative implication that has been made. He just doesn't always do what it takes to win or prepare himself in the necessary fashion. Point some of the blame at Dungy who facilitated a lax approach every time the Colts have laid an egg.

I'm pretty sure any NFL fan with real football knowledge knows that Brady & Manning are the 2 best QB'S in the league.I rank Brady at #1 & Manning at #2.The 1 thing Brady does particuly better than Manning is playing under pressure.Brady is his best in big games.Just my 2 cents.

Brady has engineered the greatest playoff run ever in 04 when he beat clearly the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best teams in the league (Colts, Steelers, Eagles). No one has ever really done that.

He is great, but if he was our QB and Brady was theirs, no way we'd have 3 SB rings...you can take that to the bank.

chargers fan here but i gotta say

marlon's a ****** and we'll be cutting his ass after the season's over (which might be next sunday lol)

jcdavey, I recognize your name from the days I used to visit Chargers.com

Welcome and I look forward to reading some of your posts in the coming week.

Interesting take. I'm not being cute here, but do you think Indy would have 3 if the QB's had been switched at the start?

Sort of see your point, but no, it's not ******ed. If Manning were the Pats qb I really doubt we'd be undefeated. Manning is great, no doubt...but time after time he just reminds me of a better version of Drew Bledsoe, complete w/ jumpy happy feet, and always somehow seeming to come up short when it counts. No choking?? That last series??
