Holy crap....

I don't know if it was just me, but I think 99% of Gillette Stadium was fooled by that play. I saw Brady go up like I've seen a handful of times before knowing it was a direct snap to Kevin Faulk. Then all of a sudden, someone threw a football to Wes Welker. I had no friggin' idea what the heck just happened. Brady deserves an Emmy award for that one.

For a split second I thought it was the fake-botched-snap-direct-snap-to-Faulk but as soon as Brady's arm started to come down I could see him hugging the ball to his groin so I think I was less faked out than at least half of the Jag's defense.

I actually called that play just before we snapped it.
True Story.

My father was completely fooled in the stands. I don't think he realized what happened until after the PAT.

I was completely fooled at home along with the cameraman.. Tom deserves major kudos for that acting job.

That was such an awesome fake.

I actually knew Brady had the ball but I was still faked out by it, because he was being so deliberate and nonchalaunte about it.

I started laughing at first because I thought they tried a direct snap and fumbled. Then, I couldn't tell who had the ball and kept yelling "GET HIM, GET HIM!"

Then, Tom Brady pulled something out of his sleeve.

Then, I stopped breathing.

Great fake. Half of the defense bit on it, that's insane. Brady doesn't have the highest QB rating off of playaction for no reason.

Did you notice that part of his acting job was to turn his back to the defense for a full "one thousand one" count?

11 jocks fell to the turf.

It sounds like a few thousand/million jaws dropped to their floors too.

Not only did he turn his back to the defense for a full second, but he looked like he was bored. I mean he had the body-language of a guy who really did not have that ball.

Bravo.

It was one of the more amazing fakes I have ever seen. OF COURSE, I predicted it. :D :bricks: - NOT!!!!

It was such an audacious play that it is hard to blame the Jags for reacting to it the way they did.

Guilty as charged. As the play unfolded I mumbled to myself, "there's that direct snap to faulk aga...no WAIT!"

I actually didn't get fooled but it had more to do with where I was sitting (goal line level, 17 rows up). In the camera view from the defensive backfield, you can see why the Jags had no clue. It was a beautiful play fake.

Ah. On the TV, it really looked like he didn't have the ball, but like you said, you would have probably seen the ball go to Brady from where you were sat. How was the atmosphere, BTW?

Pretty good but not loud enough to affect the Jags on offense. It was the loudest during the Jags last 2 drives.

I was thinking, boy Faulk didn't really disguise that play too good, and look they are crushing him right at the line..........

and then....ooos nevermind.

I wasn't fooled.

True story.

Great play.
Is it true that play will be illegal if we play the Colts next week?
And how cool is it to putting Vrable in as a decoy on goal line plays?

in the stadium, i think 99% of the fans and 100% of the Jags were fooled. it was sick. i still couldnt find the ball on the big screen replay. (hoping to watch the Tevo later)

that might be the BEST FAKE OF ALL TIME (BFOAT) ??

which reminds me, guess who sat right in front of me all game? FOTY !! The dude who is Fan of the Year, from Pennsylvania. All decked out in his FOTY hat and leather Pats jacket. Nice guy. Lots of hearty congratulations going on w the guy. I am hoping the cameras showed him, cause i might be on the tube...

I was fooled,but I was on beer 7
