So what do we think? Not "made of glass", eh?

Faulk and Maroney were excellent tonight. Nothing less than studtacular.

tough as nails.

Who said we are week running the ball. Bring it on.

I can name at least ten people who need to eat some crow.

Maroney is looking like quite the powerful runner right now. So even, to some extent, is Faulk.

I wonder how much of that is the OL.

Maroney really stepped up his game today (in all aspects). Hopefully next year he can bring this every game (and we'll be saying 'corey who?')

I have to say, I am pretty impressed with your running game for the last 3-4 games, did not think they had it in them, but they do.

His best game as a pro

I pity any defense that faces the Pats

He's finally delivering on the potential he showed in the game against Cincy back in October '06. Talk about a good time to hit your stride. :rocker:

Maroney was running very tough, and seemed to go forward for a yard or two extra after contact on most carries. He also broke a few tackles to gain extra yards, and faked Reggie Nelson right out of his shoes. Laurence was bouncing it outside very effectively when there wasn't any holes, and used his top level speed (for a RB) to gain a nice amount of yards.

Really, it was among his more complete games as a player, especially considering he recorded two receptions as well.

According to the NBC Sports report I've looked at, Maroney gained 122 yards rushing and 40 yards receiving, with 1 TD. Whenever a RB gains 162 total offensive yards he's had a very good game, especially against the Jags in the playoffs.

Happy to see LoMo's production tonight, bet he's feelin' good.

We out-Jaguared the Jaguars with a real 1-2 punch. Laurence was a ******* beast and Faulk was clutch as usual.

I also like that the Jaguars tried to pass Patriots-style and came up well short.

Short like Rodney's T-rex intercepting arms.

LoMo was my MAN tonight....we have a stud rb my friends....this Offense is epic, and this team is unreal

Oh, so now we like Maroney? I heard he was made of glass? I have liked this kid since draft of '06. I'm not a homer. I suggested the Pats to draft him before draft day. Look me up. I thought he was going to be a star then and I think he is on the brink of being a star today. He had a great game on the ground and catching some nice passes in the flat. Knowing how well Jacksonville stops the run, I didn't think Maroney would be able be that effective on the ground.

But...but...but...he SUCKS!!
NSA said so!!!

Fellers,

You know what I'd love to own? A glass bust of Maroney to put up on my mantel.

Then I could piont it out to guests and say yeah... it's a bust and made of glass... :rocker:

I've loved this pick since we drafted him. I note that his detractors are conspicuous by their absence.

Congrats LoMo! Bring on Polian's Pony's :)

Is this really needed? Seriously, I know there are some fans among us who've given Maroney sh*t for a while, but some of us have been supporters since the 2005-2006 college season. The same goes for Meriweather, some of us suggested the Patriots draft him back in Febuary 2007, so I wouldn't start thumping my chest. Yea, I'm pretty happy to have picked NE's first rounders accurately two years in a row, and I'm happy to see them both playing well in the playoffs, but I'm not going to try and rub it into those who where late to the show...

I will say that I've got absolutely zero time for posters like NSA who were calling Maroney a bust, and claimed he sucked. It's funny that NSA hasn't shown his face around these parts all that much lately...

I love this thread and we all know the haters are now no where to be found
