Assume both cost 9million/year for 4 years.
If we can't keep both (which could be a real possibility given their high salaries); which one do we keep?

1. Moss + a cheap FA CB, Gay, or 1st round CB
2. Samuel + a cheap FA WR or a renegotiated Stallworth
3. Neither: A good FA CB + A good FA WR (but not great at either position)

I vote for #1; and failing that #3

Moss, definitely. But it would suck without Asante in that secondary.

i would willingly give up samuel for moss in a heartbeat, as long as we "fix" the linebacker situation (if there is a situation).

Moss if we can't score loads we can't win.

Moss. Moss is a true all-time great. the Patriots have shown with Milloy and Law that nobody in the secondary cant be replaced.

Can't answer that question in a vacuum. Would depend on the quality of available FA out there in both positions that are willing to play for a ring for less than full price.

But assuming both men are telling the truth, it sounds like Moss is going someone we can get for less than full price (although maybe not as cheap as he was this year) and AS is going where ever he gets the most $$$.

Moss. Not much else to say.

Hello Randy, you are the best and hopefully a Patriot for life. Make my day.

Samuel will be gone, and that is OK.

Moss gone, not so good. Very bad, don't even go there.

Moss without question.

I vote for Moss. He changes the game when he is playing. The 11 players on D have him in their minds. Samuel is good, but he doesn't change the game, IMHO.

Moss..

Not to change the subject but maybe add to it..

If we cut Colvin or get him to renegotiate his contract, won't we have enough money to bring both back?

& who do you expect would get more money from the Pats? Assante or Moss if they were resigned..

I think Assante more than Moss..

Pats will find a way to sign both but if push comes to shove they will sign Randy and draft a top corner.

I agree with the part that they will sign Randy Moss and draft a top corner and with that being said I believe the Pats will trade down and still get that top corner. I'm glad this question came up because I asked a friend the same thing if you had to choose ONE and my reply was Randy Moss. I like Asante very much and would like to keep him also but I don't think thats going to happen but if the Pats do pull it off and keep both that will be GREAT.
