Blow Out coming???

Not mean to hi-jack this thread, but this is our analysis FWIW.
Chance of NE winning 20 or more is from 15% to 30%.
Note: Accuscore prediction is something like NE 30-18 and NE win prob is ~81-82% vs 18% for JAX.

Other note: If using only last 8 games for NE and 7 for JAX, it will be a tight game.

Nice touch. Thats some strong work there. Nice job!:rocker:

if you look at past 4 games, pats did not blow anybody out. I don't expect a blow out as we saw last Oct.

WHAT i EXPECT is a sure WIN from Pat.

If you look most recent games only, the Pats should NOT be favored by 13.5. Las Vegas thinks like other analysts: recent games are not very indicative of the Pats. There might be something else and this was debated quite a bit. (Sure, other teams have figured out, but may be the Pats did not perform their best either).

Um, his was a good-natured, direct response to someone referring to his team as the jagoffs. There's no need to treat every opposing fan as a troll. So far the Jacksonville fans have seemed much better than most.

That is because there are so few of them it's hard to get a real cross section of Jag fan opinion. :D

In light of the recent comments from both Spicer and Delrio, do you feel that a whooping is coming down on the jagoffs. I know they are not a bad team and all, but they are certainly not a powerhouse either. Thier big, but so slow. I just can't see them going head to head with Moss and Welker and Asante. It is also in our house on a decent day for passing and no doubt a very hostile envioment due to the "spearing" comments. I'm seeing a big score here guys. Your thoughts?

42-10 Pats. Over by halftime, Cassel in the third quarter, Gutierrez in the fourth. :D

I agree with what you say, but this team is so unpredictable in that they could score at any time and at will. Its like trying to figure out the coach. Impossible! Looking back at the recent games I can see why they should't be favored by 13.5, but taking into the weather, the homefield, the weeks off, the slowness of the Jags, our clutch play (if needed) and most of all the skill level now when all games are crucial. I think we still have not played at our best yet.

Thks for the comments. The fact that the spread is 13.5 means that Las Vegas thinks the Pats are better than in their recent games. They are greedy and try to suck in more Jags $ (it's ~ 60% JAX, 40% NE) by moving the line from 11 to 13.5. Usually I don't bet with so much uncertainty, but my pals are so bullish on the Pats that they gave the points.

Just so you guys know...the spear came after Brady dove head first for two first downs earlier. If your too scared to get hit, do a good ole' QB slide like he should have done. There is also controversay over Ingram talking "trash" after the hit. I would assume he said something like this "Slide feet first next time...*****!" Also Ingram was not flagged nor penalized by the league for the hit. I don't remember what Del Rio said but it was probably something like I said. Also Spicers comments were three months ago. I bet none of you even heard those comments the week he said it. I believe there were several comments made about the Patriots after the game they cheated. Gonna dig those up too? You guys will find anything to use as bulletin board material.

Patriot fan: Hey did you hear what that player said about Brady? He said he played good but not great in that one game? I bet they will use that as bulletin board material!

Low browed jagoff. Brady doesn't have to play great. He just has to beat you. Which he did 16 times this year. :singing: The Pats have not played their best football yet. If you know anything about this team, they play their best come 2nd season. Another clue for ya. BB is a defensive coach right? You haven't seen squat yet. What you saw was smoke and mirrors, bait and switch. Get ready to look like fools saturday.

Fluke plays count, but they hold little predicative value. Since people are using his past performance to predict future performance you shouldn't takle too much stock in a fluke play unless you expect one to happen again.

It wasn't even simply a big play like the Addai one. It was a flukey play where the guy fell on another player and therefore didn't touch the ground. No doubt BB will have his guys making sure he's down this game.

Precisely correct on both counts. This isn't like a bad tackling play that might rear its ugly head again. MJD was a TBC touch away form losing 3 yards on the play. I doubt that any of NE's LBs don't at least touch him if he falls to the ground this game.

The Jags have scored a minimum of 24 points in 11 straight games, yet you seem to think that your team's "Senior Squad" defense is gonna keep them to ten points? What an uninformed homer.

24 in 11 straight. Impressive

16 straight. Perfect.:rocker:

I will put on hold for the Colts fans!!! Although it would give me great pleasure to see Ryan Leaf Rivers come to town for a beat down!!!!:rocker:

Be careful what you wish for...

I guess you don't watch much football besides the pats. I'm pretty sure you know of Rashean Mathis, and if you don't, he'll be the guy, "covering" Moss for the game. I agree that most of our WR's are unknown, but that has alot to do w/ our running game, and the fact Garrard spreads the ball around pretty well.

NOPE. It's because your receivers are mediocre. The RBs are well known because they're awesome.

With Brady not pressing to get Randy the record I expect the Patriots to win strong but not necessarily in a blow-out. I think there is basically no chance the Patriots come out flat which would be the Jags' best chance.

"Senior Squad?" We've got one of the youngest secondaries and youngest DLs in the NFL. Learn the game.

Jags will not score more than 20. Sorry.

Its hard to predict a blowout in the playoffs, but as the game draws near, I'm starting to get the feeling that this has the potential to be one. There is nothing wrong with the Jags. I live down here in Florida and get a lot of their coverage and they are honestly, a decent team. But make no mistake, they are primarily a one-dimensional team. They come to run on you and pass second. Gerrard has had a great year, but they aren't asking him to make big pass plays or put the offense on his shoulders. They will probably throw a lot of short passes/screens to MJD and Taylor and try to work the edges.

I just can't help but think that with Wilfork/Seymore/Warren up front, they are going to play a little more horizontal than bust it up the middle.

The Patriots are WAAAAAAY overdue for a major offensive explosion and early. I think you'll see a no huddle hurry up O and by the 3rd quarter all those slow fat guys will be doubled over going "guppy" as they struggle for air.

you think Faulk and Lynch are FASTER than Taylor and Jones Drew...I'm not saying we're better, but i keepseeing you mention we're slow and thats not accurate
Lynch .... wrong team genius!

I think that this wil be a tough hard fought game. If there is a blow out I think that D has to shut down Jones-Drew and Taylor. The two weeks off might be the key. Our players are rested and will have been working hard.
