Santa Claus comes to Boston early, disguised as Johan Santana

Only if the Sox and Santana can negotiate an extension in 3 days. I'm taking a wait and see approach.

Ill believe it when i see something official like espn or fox sports stating the deal is all done, i still am finding it hard to believe that the deal posted on that site is something the twins would except.

While i think this deal could get done, i seriously doubt the validity of this website. If nobody else in the media who has close ties to both sides have a whiff of this i'll go ahead and call BS!

This alleged report is made by "kelsdad", a poster who fashions the New York Yankees logo next to his name. In a later post that follows in the thread, he admits, as an obvious Yankee diehard, that he is scared to death to see the Sox obtain Santana. This is a poster's opinion, not a report.

Yeah - not exactly a reputable source.

Still "Santana Claus" has a nice ring to it!

All the reports say that the Yankees won't up their asking price - but reports also say that the O's are going to keep Bedard.

That might cause the Yankees to panic with the thought of a Red Sox upgrade and the Yankees getting a year older.

That could also spur the Sox to make the move to keep the Yankees where they are.

Have heard the names mentioned in this trade pretty consistently all week, did not hear about the Monday deadline though.. that would be an interesting development..

Santana Claus brings a smile this grey morning.

no team in the al east has any chance at bedard .the Os were never going to trade him with in there own division .

I won't believe it till I see it confirmed by a more official source.

Santana ain't coming to Beantown.

What the Red Sox are offering to the Twins is garbage.

Bill Smith would be stupid to accept a deal.

I expect Santana to stay in Minnesota for this year. I rather lose him, and get the two draft picks than accept Boston's deal that can cripple the Twins for years to come.

Hey, how bout them CELTICS!

The funniest part of that whole thing is you can literally smell how arrogant that effin Yankee tool is; those douchebags will never, ever, ever get it; their ****ing time is over, done, bye bye, have a nice life.

Nope, reality and Yankee fan do not mix, the pitiful tools they all are...............

Um I am a Twins fan first before I root for the Yankees. I only root for the Yankees when they play Boston, and that's basically it. Yankees will be fine by the way. They got a good farm system, a good core of young players that are playing now, and they got a better manager in Girardi, who got a lot out of nothing at Florida.

I agree Yanks will be fine, but, with no disrespect to Girardi, the team takes one step backwards with Torre out of the mix, no matter who replaces him. It is like hiring Jon Gruden to replace Bill Belichick.

As a Yankees fan, I think the team takes a step forward with Girardi, and without Torre. Torre lost his fastball a couple of seasons ago. I love Joe T, but it was time to move on.
