The Jets TRY to play the same defense we do, they don't really have the bodies on the line to play it successfully though. They probably aren't interested in a ILB type like we are, unless they're planning to move Vilma. The Pats will probably be looking at James Laurinaitis or Dan Connor. The one player that will likely draw interest from both teams might be Calais Campbell, who looks to be a bigtime stud pass rusher.

And the Jets negate the FG with a penalty... figures.

Well, the 7th overall pick is very, very interesting. It's in range where the slotted salary should be reasonable against the cap, so the Pats could take the pick, it's a tradeable pick, and it usually represents good value (Adrian Peterson, anyone?). I get the feeling the Pats will not take the pick, but likely will pick somewhere in the area, probably trading down a few spots after a player that another team wants slides a bit. Still, great trade in the end, another huge success for the front office.

I was just looking at the standings and here is what I came up with:

1-15 Dolphins
3-13 Rams
4-12 Raiders, Chiefs, Falcons, Jets
5-11 49ers, Ravens

Maybe the Jets did us a favor by winning??
The Jets have won the head to head vs the Chiefs, now they might be picking just ahead of us instead of at #3.

That looks right. I think the Pats will pick 6th, 7th, or 8th, depending out the three 5-11 teams line up in the draft. 19 and 0 and the 6th pick in the draft would work.

I know me, personally, didn't expect anything less than 8-8 out of the 49'ers. I'm very pleasantl surprised ! It'll be a very exciting draft for us Pat's fans.
