Is it possible? If I remeber correctly, something similiar happened with Sean Taylor against Tampa?

Re: Could Wilfork Get Suspended For That Poke To The Eye?

If Sapp only got a fine for that crap he pulled last week, I'd say no. But since this is a Patriot, probably

Re: Could Wilfork Get Suspended For That Poke To The Eye?

that was bad, he will probably get another fine.........
after the shot to the knees in Buffalo they are really gonna call him a dirty player! OH NO

Re: Could Wilfork Get Suspended For That Poke To The Eye?

Jacobs obviously did something to deserve what he got. Of course, thanks to the pack of ******s pressing buttons for NFL Network's production, we'll never know.

That wasn't a move with great danger of causing an injury.

Players are not-suspended for much worse.

I think this will just be a "Second offense on the season personal foul" kind of fine.

Maybe I'm being too much of a "homer" here but I didn't really think that was an intended poke in the eye. I saw it as a "touch" rather than a full on poke intended for the top of the nose, more than likely just to wind him up. Or maybe I need to see it again...

He stuck his finger right through the mask. He should have known better.

Re: Could Wilfork Get Suspended For That Poke To The Eye?

I'm admittedly a Bills fan, but that POS deserved to be thrown out for the hit on Losman. If he played for anyone else but you guys he'd be out for a month. As it is, I expect him to be fined. I read this board and see you all complaining about officiating--check out any message board of any other team in the League and you'll see that the rest of League views your "luck" with the refs a bit differently than you all do.....

here's one for you selected at random from a team that has no real axe to grind with you:

Cry me a river of your bitter tears.

That he did, but it's all a bit dramatic. Going off the comentators you'd think he gouged it out. Was more of a wind up than wanting to blind the kid. Your point is correct though, the bigger picture is he shouldn't have done it.

It appeared to me to be aimed at between his eyes, which is actually where the finger landed.

Still, it looked very bad, and Vince is going to have learn a hard lesson over that mistake.

Sorry wrong thread

Yeah, I don't think it was a legit attempt at poking the eyes, NFLN showed a different angle of it and he had his hand more in a pointing figure than poking, assuming everyone pokes with two fingers for both eyes.

lets hope not....

were gonna need wilfork

hopefully just a fine

btw, the players leaving the field dont seem overly enthusiastic

(other then maybe brady? LOL)

Re: Could Wilfork Get Suspended For That Poke To The Eye?

What? No comment on the substance of my post? Since then, you already just got another BS call tonight to give you the ball on the Giants 2. Face it, someone in your organization is paying refs. Don't hurt yourself hopping off the bandwagon....

What BS call was this?

If he had been seem by the refs, he definitely would have been thrown out of the game. One can hope that the NFL only gives him a fine. IMHO, a suspension is indeed warrented.

He didn't injure Jacobs so I don't see a suspension coming. The fine should be around Sapp's tho.

Re: Could Wilfork Get Suspended For That Poke To The Eye?

If it was so obvious then perhaps you'd like to share what it was. The only thing that was obvious is that Jacobs got intentionally poked in the face by a punk.

Well, I'll take your word for it. A Steeler fan knows better than anybody what a punk plays like. They have long, long, long experience watching punks.

You're deranged.

Re: Could Wilfork Get Suspended For That Poke To The Eye?

That is quite true. It is much easier for fans of other teams to be impartial. BTW, the idea that Wilfork doesn't deserve to get suspended because he failed in his attempt to blind the other player is pretty insane.
