Be careful what you wish for people.

RW, are you talking about in reference to the Jags or SD? Sure Jones-Drew and Taylor are scary, but I think the Pats D would be up to stopping them in a big game. As for SD, they don't frighten me much. Of course, NE could lose to either, they're both good teams. I just think NE will handle them. The Pats whole season is a just a primer for the offseason. They're going to be psychologically stoked to wallop whomever steps into Gillette.

Im with most people here id love to see sd go down in the first round just to see what excuses LT has this time, and I would love to see jax finally make a stand against indy in order for us to gey the jags in the AFCCG. If I recall correctly weren't they saying two years ago how the jags was the team to watch out for and if my memory were correct we killed them 27-3 so if these playoffs playout the way I hope, "hello Lombardi trophy #4."

You guys are not being realistic if you think the Jaguars will score 13 or less on us...

Freddy Taylor is the type of back that gives us problems, he plows through everything and always rapes the Steelers, who even though are incredibly overrated have a better, more physical rush defense than us. Just being honest on that front.

Taylor and Drew are too potent to keep from getting a decent 5-6ypc, and they both have huge play capabilities. They'll get enough yards to put a very easy load on what already is a smart, and pretty mistake free QB. We will be able to score on them, but they're putting 21+ on us...

We seem to have forgotten how stingy the Pats D is at home in big games. This defense is as talented and as healthy as any pats defense that's stepped on the field. Do you think fred taylor will be running up and down the field against a fired up Pats defense in Gillette Stadium? I don't predict ANY team in the playoffs (except maybe the colts) will post more than 20 points in Gillette.

SD is the best team not in foxboro... they are much better than any other team at this point, including indy, dallas, and gb

screw it, i had rather face JAX and take my chances then take an easy win over another sucky team....

this is the best team ever, and i want everyone to admit it

Disagree. I think this defense is just rounding into form now, particularly as regards to Seymour, and to a lesser extent Thomas. I think they shut Jax down. Here's hoping we get to find out.

Jax would manhandle us? Wha...?

Ok, people need to get past Brady and the high flying offense and see what this team is made of. Our "O" line is willing to line up and run block, they just do not have to.

Also, the "D" is a big, bruising, smash mouth D. The line is tough, the LB's are huge and the secondary likes to smack. The fans and the experts are jsut blinded by this high-flying offense.

SD, Jax or Tenn. If the temp is below 20 degrees, those warm weather teams have zero chance. The Steelers and Brownies at least know how to play in the cold.

My #1 preference can't happen - I'd like to see Romeo come here for the AFC Championship game. Assuming they get in, they'll be the lowest seed and would have to come here for Round 2.

The Patriots defense will play at another level in the playoffs. As you know, NO team can or will "manhandle" the Patriots.

Question for ColtinIraq;

"Since the Patriots are already a dynasty, what comes next?":D

If Jacksonville were to come into New England and manhandle us it would shock me. Granted they've improved alot but I can't see us losing after a week's preperation. Especially with Bill Belichick in charge.

If they did I would concede they are the better team.

Like I mentioned earlier the jags that could come in to gillette stadium are the same jags that went in in 05 plus jones drew, the D line(as long as they stick to the 5-2 Defense and not the outdated 4-3) will abuse fred taylor and jones drew and oh no! Big ol marcus stroud is gonna kill us! Yeah right! Jags D and Pitts D are almost replicas of eachother brady would have a field day.

The loss in this year's playoffs. It would render everything accomplished meaningless. Well, except BB and Spygate.

If you're gonna be a sad little troll, at least try to bring something of value to the table once in awhile. Ugh.

If we (Jaguars) do play the Steelers (if seeds 3 and 4 do not change) and do get past them, you will not see the same team you saw in 2005. There have been signifcant changes on offense, not the least of which is QB. Among other things, Jones-Drew (as noted), different TEs, different OL, different punter and kicker, and recievers who are begnning to catch the football.

There have been similar changes on defense, some good - some not so good. For your info, Marcus Stroud (DT) is on IR - not a good thing. Mike Peterson should be back from his broken hand by round 1 - that is a good thing.

Im am NOT ensuring a win against the Steelers, nor am I predicting the outcome of any potential Pat-Jag matchup. I just thought I'd let you know there have been significant changes and that this is not the same team you saw with its tail between its legs in 2005.

Keep in mind we are not the same team as you played in 2005 either.
