What's with all the McDaniels hate?

Agreed to an extent. I think you have to blame the whole offense though. The receivers weren't getting open and/or Brady wasn't finding them fast enough for the line to hold and that led to Brady trying riskier passes. Heaving it up to Moss is less risky than heaving it up to anyone else. Thus Brady heaved it up to Moss more than anyone else. I also think a little hubris set in. The Dolphins stink and weren't coming back.

There were a few times Brady tried to force the ball to Moss when he was double or triple covered and the Dolphins blitzed. That means there had to be someone open somewhere. I do agree that the rest of the offense does deserve some of the blame pie for the second half. I can't see throwing all the blame on McDaniels (although he does deserve some of the blame too).

Dude, i am not a pretzel logic fan. What is our run/pass breakdown the last 4 games?

Why go and insult me instead of bringing facts to your arguement. All I did was respond with facts, you responded with nothing.

so, you're another in a long line of "that proves it!!! I got stats!!" guys that has inundated this board the last few months...every week one of you stat clowns start bashing a particular area or player on this team and use "stats!!!" to back up your specious nonsense. I have a stat for you...15-0...the ONLY stat that counts

15 - 0 ... so shut up about McDaniels. We rushed what, 22 times? Threw what, 35 or so? I don't understand your logic :X

I don't disagree, I guess you misunderstood me or I just didn't say it well enough. PS, it's been more than a few months I have been on the board, maybe not as long as you, but still no reason to be an ass, yes, a big ass.

so, this week was 21 rushes, 33 passes, not to bad.
last week was almost 50/50
Pitt was 7 rushes 46 passes
ravens : 20 runs, 34 passes
Philly: 13 runs, 54 passes.

I said my issue with him was inconsistancy, not that we couldn't run the ball. He is up and down between games and in games.

let's see...are these the "facts" you're talking about?

looks like opinion to me....I must've struck a nerve...you come out of hiding after months to post stats that denigrate the Patriots and I'M the ass? I just gave you the MOST IMPORTANT stat...15-0....let's hear your counter argument

My response was 110 on two carries, not that they didn't run for yards.

Geez.. can people read?

My reading is fine. He didn't just run twice, and the team was working on other things in the second half. Instead of wondering about the reading of others, perhaps you should focus on grasping the whole "balance vs. game plan" thing in a blowout victory.

Come we had watson and kyle brady out .with thomas out and rivers did not working out.we had spok and a OL playing TE how the hell is the OC blamed for this.

Pinkhats it's not hate to analyze the game and offer criticisms.
McDaniels is going to get Brady killed with his playcalling.
Giants game could be real ugly in the QB sack department if Josh doesn't shorten the field and keep somebody home to cover Brady's back.
Scary how much Brady was on the ground today especially since Jason Taylor was playing on one foot.
Giants D-front is far superior.

Whatever dude. Just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean you should jump on them. You started :D

I despise the long throws to a double-covered Randy Moss when other guys are open. I don't like the fact that Brady operates in the shotgun on nearly every play and I think they should run the ball a little more to keep the defense honest.

I think BB, McDaniels and Brady all got together and said we are going to win or lose by putting the ball in the hands of our two best players Brady and Moss. I wished to hell the would have set that record so Brady could concentrate on connecting to the secondary option instead of throwing the sandlot hail mary into triple coverage. On the other hand Stallworth is lined up as the #2 and must be getting a large share of single coverage. The Colts have always been able to use Wayne effectively if teams were focusing on Harrison, why can't we do the same.

Side note - We really didn't have a TE playing, my faith in Watson is minimal but at least he is somewhat of a pass catching option.

The Pats are showing only what they have to. They didn't need to do much to beat Miami so they stayed with the standard playbook. Why show the screen if you don't have to.

Relax ...we're 15-0

Yeah that was my take. It was pretty one-dimensional and ineffective in the 2nd half, and I can't think that the coaching was just oblivious to it.

Week 1: Run 34 pass 28

Week 3: 36 run, 29 passes
week 4: 29 runs, 32 passes.

I just think we have been inconsistant the past few weeks and I also think we ran a lot more consistantly when morris was part of the plan.

These numbers seem quite different than the last 4 weeks.

Whatever. I love being 15-0, but why the hate? Don't you want them to improve? that's what teams do, what the coach tries to do everyweek. My facts are above.

Your 'facts' are meaningless without context. Your inability to understand what this team is all about is the problem, not the play calling 'balance'.

No, your not understanding what I have said 10 times is the issue. Look, have you played football? what do you try to do everyweek? Get better, gameplan, etc. The second half tonight looked like a high schooler calling the plays. I know what this team is about and I would like them to get better.

Have a nice night

Sorry, I did post my numbers in context, but not in that post.
Funny thing is, this is the First time I have said much about the offense. It's people like you and joker that keep my post count to 500 while you and I have been on the board the same time. I am not trying to start any fights or war of worlds, just looking at some numbers and trying to understand why they are passing more now than at the beginning of the season.

The guy has had a great season.. He gets props
Oh Brother! What's so great about Josh McDaniels? Any clown can call an unbalanced offensive attack while Tom Brady takes a weekly beating!
