Would you rather face SD or IND in AFCCG?

Definately. Or if not the better team, the biggest rival. Jags and Browns might both be better than the Steelers, but I would derive much more satisfaction from beating the Steelers.

I'm very glad the Chargers took third seed. Now it looks like we play the Steelers AND the Colts!!!! How can a post season be better than that?

I don't understand fans who have no faith in their team, who don't believe we are real at 14-0, and want us to back into the superbowl by playing the weakest teams possible.

Gimme the hated enemy to play. I want Colts and Steelers. If one of them loses, then gimme the Chargers in their place.

After that I don't care. Jags are JAGs, and Browns are dogmeat.
SD doesn't have the 3rd seed yet. They still need to win out.

I would like the see the bolts play us now they have improved as the season has gone on I think they will test our defense in the run they have good depth there but other than gates and chambers there pass is aweful!

Indy can pass and test Brady on defense I would like to see lomo run over Bob Sanders too.

TBH i couldn't give a damn as long as we win!

SD and to me it's not even close. The only 2 teams that scare me at all are the Colts and the Jags.

i think it's an easy answer

you just beat the chargers by what 24? or more? and you had to come back late vs indy

no brainer, you should want to play the chargers

but a true fan IMO wants to face the best, and the colts are the better team

(i'm a charger fan by the way)

i would say the Colts were a better team, not so sure now. They have lost a lot as the season has progressed and being a small fast team does bode well the longer the season goes.

Chargers for several reasons.

1. The Chargers' QB/RB/WR combo is not as lethal as that of the Colts.

2. For SD to make it that far, they would have already played two games, one on the road. This would be their second trip of at least 2/3 of the way across the country in back to back weeks.

3. I think our defense matches up better vs the Chargers than the Colts. The Colts can/will spread out the Pats and keep them honest on the outside. The Chargers really can't do that as effectively.

It does not matter who we play in the play offs. Barring a key injury, I don't think the Pat's play off games will even be close.

Colts...fine, me too.

Jags? Hmmm, they are playing well lately. Looks like a good decision now to go with Gerrard....Defense is playing well. We beat up on them previously in the playoffs did we not? They are not the same team I know however neither are we.

I think we can beat the Jags if we met 'em....

I want to face the best, and that would be Indy. There is no team I'd rather beat.

I agree with these but i think that #2 is a little overblown by EVERYONE.

Poor guys have to sit on a plane and sleep for a few hours. Big frickin deal.
Everyone acts like flying accross the country 4 times in 2 weeks is pure torture for them.

its not like they have to run on treadmills on the plane for the entire flight or anything.

Colts vs. Bolts?

It's not even a debate. If you're talking the more favorable matchup it's the Bolts! Rivers is a head case who can't even get along with his star RB. There D is just barely above average. West coast teams having to travel cross country usually don't fair well.

SD would be an easier game, but to get Manning in the snow again would be priceless

San Diego. For reasons stated by others.

Before SD played Detroit, I had a revelation--I knew the Chargers would win big. Why? (Other than Detroit sucking?) Because SD is a bully. Not in a good, tough, football way, but like a big cowardly bully who picks on little kids but runs away if someone their own size comes along. They're a hollow, heartless team. So yeah, they might get on a roll for awhile.......and if the Pats played them again, the Pats would kill them again.

I think your comments are amusingly accurate. I can't recall a team with less heart than the Chargers. No team talks more and has accomplished less (especially in January).
As to who I'd rather play...I am not worried about either. I want the Colts to lose early in the playoffs because as long as I can recall, they have made it to the AFCCG every year they were 'supposed to' and last year when they were not. I am tired to people actually giving Manning kudos for performing well in the clutch...and acting like he got some monkey off his back last year. They won DESPITE him. They Colts defense played out of its mind to make that run.
To me, it is all about bringing the Colts to their knees...just like I felt about the Lakers, Canadiens, and more than ever, the Yankees.

Quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read. Did we "run away" from the reigning NFL champs? or any other team...including the Pats? And if by losing the game justifies "running away," you have no concept of the term. The fact is, SD played some very hard fought games this year (Chicago, Indy, at NE, at Jacksonville, at Tennesse, at KC) and have managed to come out 9-5. All this with essentially an entire new coaching staff. That takes heart. How well do you think the Pats would fare next year if suddenly BB was gone, along with both coordinators? You can call players "whiners" or whatever names you guys like to cling to, but to say the team has no heart is ridiculous. Back up your "hollow" statement.

Back it up? Sure. First, "run away" doesn't mean that the Chargers went racing back up the tunnel at the beginning of the game, although it wouldn't surprise me. There is no team that yaps more than the Chargers; when things get tough, their signature player whines, cries, and throws his qb under the bus by stalking away from him like a pouting little girl; they win plenty of regular season games then wilt in the playoffs; they'll beat Detroit by 90, and if they play the Pats again, they'll lose by 90, then complain afterwards. They're a hollow, heartless, soulless team, backed up by an equally whining fanbase.

Anything else?

so none of u believe the whole SD is a hot team right now stuff?

Indy or SD, it doesn't matter. I dont think SD will be around long, especially if they have to play Jax. Pitt is a guaranteed one and done this year, too.

The coaching issues were entirely their creation, though. They fired Schottenheimer, and waited to do so until after both coordinators left.

They're the same team that went 14-2 last year, the same "best collection of talent in the NFL." They've lost 5 games this year, most of which they shouldn't have lost.

As for their defeat of the reigning NFL champs, you're welcome. NE beat up the Colts and SD benefitted.
