The great thing about the cover 2 defense that Indy runs is you only need 3 key players to make it work very well. So long as that defense has a top pass rusher (Freeney and now Mathis), a top MLB (Brackett) who can stop the run and cover, and a stud safety (Sanders) the defense can excel with inter-changeable, no namers at the other 8 spots.
You see the same thing happening in Buffalo with their cover 2 defense as well.
