Why is Alabama so close.

I think the Pats played some obscure exhibition games there way back in the day, maybe we've got some residual Alabamians who enjoy our pro football team.

I say we boot CT out of "New England" and sign Michigan up for inclusion. :D

(Before I get flamed by folks from Connecticut, I'm only kidding.)

I find the Indiana, Pennsylvania and Texas results the best.

Talk about hate.

Great, just great. Mass has a lower % rooting for the Pats than NH.

Y'all move up here, drive up the prices, sub-divide our farms, muck up our lakes, and then bring all the reasons you moved out of Mass with you.

Next thing you'll know, out Pats rooting % will be as low as yours!

;)

Wow, 20,000 whole people voted out of 300 M, So it must be true and reflective of the population at large.

What have we done to make Montana hate us so?

On the bright side, we have a higher approval rating abroad than our country.

Actuallty it was a regular season home game played in Birmingham, Alabama
in a test the waters thing for a potential move there

Your link just shows the map results of voting, Slag. If anyone wants to add their vote, click on this link then look down on the bottom right of the page:

And if Slag or others wish to "empower their inner Pat fan" more, here's another ESPN coaches poll:

NY & NJ are closer than I would have thought it would be.....

Most non-New England/non-South states seem to run about 2-1 in favor of the Jets, or more. The Deep South states are much more even ('Bama prefers Pats, South Carolina is split, Florida is far closer than it should given the large number of Miami fans and expatriate New Yorkers in S. Florida) than the national average. If Lousiana and Mississippi weren't as strong for the Jets I'd assume it was some sort of SEC carryover effect (ie, either the media successfully portrayed the Pats as having an arrogant coach who runs up the score there, but it backfired because that's a feature and not a bug there, or the usual SEC fanatic's loathing for ESPN, or some combination thereof) but those two scuttle that idea. So I have no idea.

The real anomaly is Michigan. Just look at the Pats hate in its fellow Rust Belt states.

I wasn't sure if that was the case. When exactly was that?

Every lphin fan I know hates the Jets more than the Pats. Yes, they hate us, but they hate the Jets worse.

haha, don't ask me! I see quite a few people regularly wearing Patriots stuff... probably the third most visible fanbase here after Seattle and Denver. I'm saddened by these poll results, don't let me down again Montanans.

In CT you're either a Mass or NY sports follower.

To be honest, don't mind it at all. Love being right in the middle of everything, getting all my teams games as well as the rivals is great.

Plus, with the split fan bases here there’s more New York fans to make fun of and takes jabs at during times like this. Don't get me wrong it's great being in Mass and celebrating along with everyone else you see down the street, but being able to have fun with New York fans is just as fun. :D
