Why is ESPN talking about Did the Eagles layout the blueprint to beat the Pats?

Why are you still making new threads?

I think we have some Patriots fans who lack the courage to discuss topics using their usual screen names, so they use these alter-ego names to express their feelings. Pretty sad if you ask me.

I don't think there are any REAL Pats fans who would us secondary screen names...just the few, the ashamed and the cowardly!:D

when the Eagles still lost the Game?

I thought you only talk about blueprints when the team who was undefeated loss the Game.

You know the difference between a blueprint and a building.

One is only a plan.

I believe there's a poster by that name over on the CMB.

He's a good guy, really. To be honest-I tend to do the same on other MBs, especially after getting bored looking at the CMB 90% of the time.

Helluva blueprint, the eagles gave up 400+ yards, and the Pats should have scored 38 points.. yea let everyone copy that.. the only real faux pas I saw was the onside kick.. they should've been ready.

Every possession in the first half, there were only three, resulted in a score.. this is all a figment of the media who wants to tear down our accomplishments.

"this is all a figment of the media who wants to tear down our accomplishments."

You guys are SO over the top with the whole "we're so persecuted/us against the world" thing.

Everything I saw about the blueprint was more along the lines of "hey, there is just the teensiest bit of hope against this jaugernaut. At least it's something to make the NFL season more interesting," and not "whoa! They're really not good at all, and haven't accomplished a thing!"

The Pats laid out a blueprint for everyone to beat the Cowboys.

This is true, and I wonder if Green Bay will use it on Thursday to beat Dallas. Should be a good game.

I think he was being sarcastic. As in, the Patriots have been the only team to beat the Cowboys this year.

Just like the Bears set the blueprint for beating the Packers, right?

Exactly, If you think about it, every team except the Patriots has a blueprint on how they were beat. How can every team beat every team with each others blueprint?

If allowing 31 points and 400+ yards on defense is a 'blueprint', then I dont know what to say about that.

Blueprint was ESPN spin. Wake up Call is our Spin!

You can talk about it when a relatively weak team executes it and almost beats a giant. Presumambly, a supposedly better team like the Steelers might have enough to actually defeat the Pats if they are also able to execute it.

Because that's what ESPN does. (In case you hadn't noticed...)

Because there is nothing else they can talk about. Blueprint, blueprint WTF. The Pats scored 31 pts and won the friggin game, what blueprint? Nobody they play has the offensive and defensive personnel the Eagles have and Freeley had the game of his life. It's a matter of personnel and match-ups. Blueprint ESPN, right, GFY. They already screwed up Monday Night Football.

Too bad the Patriots were practicing their no huddle offense for half the game. If the Patriots started the game like every other with some sort of running game, Moss would of had his usual huge game, and the Pats would of blew them out.

BB will never admit this, he never admits anything. The Eagles game is exactly what BB wanted and at the perfect time. His constant lauding of opponents can often be filtered by the players as the team reels off success after success. He needed a game like this to get the players' attention, particularly against a team that had been struggling. Now he's got their attention and can hammer home the idea that every opponent will be ready for the Patriots for the rest of the season. Perfect timing. Thanks, Philly!

The Eagles did lay out a blueprint to hold Moss's specatcular plays down.

Still if the ref doesn't flag him for the invisible Offesnive Pass Interference, the Pats rack up 38 points at the fantastic limitation of TWO points below their season average.

If the refs don't call Ghost's FG attempt after the Moss penalized TD good, as the replay using technology showed it was just barely but still good, then the Pats score 34.

All that is required for a team to emulate the Eagles is to have a probowl CB and and a probowl Safety dedicated to stopping Moss. And then be satisfied wiht only gibving up 31 points to others. Easy.

Er... BTW how many Teams actually have a probowl CB and a Probowl Safety for the project? Itr eminds me of the nuclear physicist who found a way to do the Alchemist's dream, transmute stuff into Gold. You just have to start with Platinum that is worth double the price...

According to the Way Eagles Fans were SMILING Today and Yesterday you would have thought they were 6-5 and the Pats were 10-1

...

Amen. People treat this 'blueprint' as if it's in a vacuum and the Pats won't respond. I'm sure the next time a team tries this exact approach, the coaching staff will have a 'blueprint' to overuse a word to counter the double coverage on Moss et al. As Romeo lamented, you pick your poison and take away one weapon, and the Pats will go somewhere else. Sunday night, it was Welker.
As for the inside routes being open on defense, show me another team with a player as versatile as Westbrook who needs to be covered around the edge and the team will have to protect the sidelines at the expense of the crossing routes.
Balt, nope. Pitt, nope. NYJ, Mia, NYG, nope... case closed for the regular season. BB sure doesn't want to tip his hand and show any playoff schemes in the regular season unless he's testing them out.
