6-0

Cause we lost to the packs the same way we lost to does Gay man.

but 4-2 is ok but 5-2?

Chris009, dont take this the wrong way because its not meant as a personal attack, but

............

you have taken the award for the dumbest football fan I have ever witnessed. Seriously, its not meant as a dig, but you are one stooooooopid mfer. Your posts indicate to me either you had severe head trauma at some point in your development, or you were born a complete moron.

Read your posts, gotta good laugh..now Im asking, is this idiot for real??

This will be a dark week for Bostonians.

Mark my words.

Both of your precious teams are going down this week.
And you'll return here on this forum for a little crow if you're wrong, correct?

Ive noticed this... Pats fans are big Advocates of taking out stats from games they deem to be unworthy. But at the same time when their legitimacy is questioned, they sing you a song about how it is not their fault they played these teams, and simply took down those laid out in front of them...... Hypocrisy??? Perhaps......

Just posted this in another thread... wanted more opinions.

General rule. Stats from this year are relevant. Streaks of six games over 35 years are not.

Easy, no?

That is not what i was talking about. I mean when somebody says OH the lions suck so we cant count the sacks you guys got in that game.... But by the same token.... the Bills suck the Bengals suck, the Jets suck, and the Dolphins suck....

Two reasons why the Patriots could be in for a dog fight this Sunday.

1. This is by far the best defense you faced and definitely the best secondary.
2. I'm aware of the fact that this is a different year with different teams, but to be completely honest, I think there's a much closer gap in talent between the Skins and Pats this year than there was between the Fins and Pats back in 2004. Upsets happen.

Two reasons why the Redskins will get blown the **** out.

1. Our only chance of survival is keeping you off the field. That means a steady (successful) running game and high 3rd down conversion % which will lead to TOP advantage and perhaps keep you out of rhythm. Problem - that plan requires a solid offensive line and receivers who can catch footballs, neither of which we apparently have. :(
2. So far, the Skins have been complete anemic in the 2nd half. Whatever success we have in the first may be all for naught if fail to show up in the second half. Pats, on the other hand, seem to get stronger further in the game.

I think the game's going to be closer that a lot of people think.

How about comparing curent year performances against common opponents?

Well you can get a somewhat better understanding, but one has to realize every team plays other teams differently. One team has a strength and they can exploit others weaknesses. Case in point, the Miami Dolphins. Pats won the game 49-28. Giving up 28 points and 382 Yards of offense with their Backup QB at the helm. Pretty good. Skins won the game Facing starter T. Green 16-13. Allowing only 1 TD and 273 total yards. Clearly teams play harder one day than the next. Not only must we take that into account, but also the different matchups of different players.

In comparison the Pats Offense DOMINATED the Dolphins defense, they could have scored 80 if they wanted to run up the score. Tha Pats defense in Miami was a product of a prevent defense as Miami ran the ball in the second half, remember it was 42-7 and they gave up 7 points later on an interception return so the defense gave up 21 not 28. Approx. HALF of the Miami total yardage was gained in the 4th Quarter during a prevent defense. So 190 yards and 1 TD through 3 quarters.

I am interested in seeing how this game plays out, Cleveland playe the Pats tough despite the score, Dallas was in it until the third quarter, and Washington has probably the best defense they will face to date.

The defense has not looked incredible for the Pats this year but every time the game needed them to step up they have so it will be interesting to see how they do against the Wshington offense which has struggled.

What you really are missing is seeing the Patriots every week. It is like when we saw Brady every weak early on and outsiders were saying "product of system", and other things that if you watched every snap you knew was ludicrous. You watch this team and you know they are not losing to Washington. It's not happenning, they will put up 30+ on the Redskins and there is no doubt about it. The only way they will lose this year is if some other team can put up 30 or 40 plus points, in other words, the Colts have the only chance at this point. It may all come off as arrogance but if you watched every snap this year you would conclude the same thing, they are SCARY GOOD, possibly all time great GOOD.

It doesn't matter if they take Moss out of the game with the safety, they'll just hit Welker or Stallworth and if they double them too they just run Maroney. Brady makes the highest % of correct reads among NFL QB's, which is why he was so good with average receivers, he really is as close to unstoppable as any QB can get with great receivers.

Evidently you got the reader's digest version of the Pats-Miami game.

42-7 at the half. The Phins scored 21, not 28 points off the Patriots D. 7 of the points were gift wrapped by bench warmer Matt Cassel. The other 14 second half points scored by the Phins were over such defensive legends as LeKevin Smith, Mike Wright, Brandon Meriwether, Larry Izzo, etc.

In sum, the second half of that game would be akin to game #2 of the Pre-season.

A few other relevant things. The Redskins played Miami at home in FedEx. The Patriots put that whupping on Miami in Miami - - in 94 degree heat......wearing their dark blue unis.

Without going through 17 pages of this thread, has anyone pointed out that the Fitzgerald/Boldin/Arrington group is about as close a you'll come to Moss/Stallworth/Welker? Not saying they're equal; just that they're as close as you'll come to comparable. With that group, Arizona came within a whisker of taking that Washington game. Five yards more would have done it.

Much as I wish it were different, I'm embarrassed for Skins fans that they would make this argument with straight faces.

Have to say for my 2 cents that this thread has become rather personal at times, and almost obnoxious. There's a visiting team area for smack talk, isn't there? Sadly, the smack seems to have been initiated by Pats fans...the OP was pretty genial and generous, and was greeted with insults and baby talk. Seems a shame, actually.

I will also say that I like what I've seen from the kid at QB. The team as a whole has yet to be consistent, which would prevent them from being a real threat to the NFC East by season's end--although anything is possible (2001 Patriots come to mind). I don't think Sean Taylor will be the difference though...

Seeing Gibbs on the sideline again is great. And that's all I've got.

I think that's an equal matchup for consideration, especially considering their QB woes.

I forgot about the INT... seems like guys named Taylor play pretty well against NE... Cassel or not :)
