Is it safe to wear a Pats jersey at an opposing field?

I'll find out in a month in miami

I'm going to that game to. And the Indy game and will be wearing my Patriots colors. I'm not really worried about it.

I would seriously wonder if you would get beaten by a group of drunken opposing fans at their stadium.

This opened alot of ill will and mangini has it in his hands for the ill will this has opened up.

it was tough enough with the TUCK rule and raiders being angry.

Only if you have to play in Philly. Do like me, act crazy, and you won't get beat up.

I went to the Eagles-Jets game there in 2003..was wearing my Jets stuff. Didn't hear anything directed towards me, but I did see a few eagles fans get into it with a couple about 6 rows down that were in jets gear.

I used to think so. But after reading some of the stuff on their message board, I'm not so sure anymore.

They get their idiots on the board... but their real fans are pretty knowledgeable, respectful, and polite. If we're going to judge fan quality based on messageboard posts, we've gone down a few pegs this last week!

Every time I go up there I end up getting in one of the "basic" football conversations (you know the ones: Top 5 QBs all time, Best AFC team of all time, Best AFL (pre-merger) team of all time, Which conf (post merger) is better... NFC, AFC, best def. of all time, etc., etc.) and I'm always pumped with their knowledge... last time I was up there a Buff. fan actually finished my sentence when I was talking about our worst championship loss of all time... he knew it was San Diego (pre merger) and NOT the Bears... keyed in on my use of the word "championship" as opposed to SB... but still, to know that about another team, off the top of your head... that's pretty good stuff.

I didn't know they had won two (?) AFL (pre-merger) championships until my first time up there... I think it's a great place to watch a game...a few guys will give you some words... but when I got up to shout 'em down in the parking lot, more than a few Bills fans (that I had been talking to while tailgating) backed me up over the bozo fans... I'll never have a problem going up to watch a game in Buff.

What about opposing fans at Gilette? I am going to the NE-Pitt game and was going to wear my full Steelers gear. Maybe I'll just wear one of these from eBay....

I don't hink you'll enjoy yourself at the game if you wear that. it will be bad enough to have to suffer through the loss with the Steelers stuff on. You'll get a double dose wearing that "Cheaters" stuff.........The security at Gillett is pretty strict and season ticket holders are banned in a heartbeat so the behavior is usually pretty good. There are some idiots though so you never know. On the other hand I think idiot is a term I would use for anyone dumb enough to wear a "Cheaters" shirt to Gillette.

If you wear the "Cheaters" shirt, I hope you're sitting next to someone with a "glass houses" Shirt!!!;)

I was at the Meadowlands this past Sunday and parked in section 16H, the heart of JetsInsider and their tailgating section. We got dirty looks at the beginning but once we started talking (not smack and not trash) they were pretty reasonable. I did decline their offer to buy a raffle ticket to burn a Brady jersey but made a donation to the Pat Tillman fund.....(hearts and minds.......)We ended up trading Sam Adams beer for food.....
Of course this was before the scandal broke so I don't know how it would have played out this week.........

Not if you beat them down first!

First punch at the biggest dude always works best for me.

Also, if you're in the upper deck, as you probably will be since you're at a visiting stadium, as they rush you, just get a good, solid hold of the back of their shirt/jersey of the point man and hurl him forward in the same direction he is moving in.

The incline of the upper deck and gravity will do the rest.

Once the first one goes over the mezzanine, the rest of them will calm down.

Caution: Before you do all this, put your beer in the cup holder. Wouldn't want to spill any.
