I'd send the ball boy, that's about the right amount of acknowledgment! ;)
Our now ex-gameday cameraman will need a new job - maybe he could do the handshake :)

quite frankly if mangini knew of this , it also means he would be changing defensive signal calls and protecting himself and his team from such stuff.

It makes what happened at Gillette last year look reasonable - where we got completely screwed up by their defense - but it's clear at this point that we would be nuts to try to use anything we saw on gameday based on this; and it makes Mangina look kind of stupid for losing despite being able to screw us up if we were doing this.

BB should have realized Mangini would do anything in his power to

screw him. When the penalties are handed down (as they will be),

Eric will simply state that he had nothing to do with the penalties,

the NFL office did it. After all the years of having BB as his mentor,

he was a real s.o.b. to blow the whistle.

So one of my clients from New Joisey calls me, and immediately starts giving me a ration of **** about having to forfeit the Jests game.

We talk smack a while, then he tells me about all this new work he needs done today.

No problem, I'll get on it. Then he goes back to the smack talk about the Patriots some more.

I tell him after that, his last minute work just went down the priority list and pasting the head of Mangini on the body of a rat just went up the list. :D

Shame it didn't take longer to do.

My sentiments also. An elementary school snitch.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Saban knows all Belichick's little secrets. He found a way to get even - good for him; I bet Belichick respects what he did last year.

You guys do realize where this is headed, don't you?

NFL security is hiring I hear, because the workload just increased tenfold. If you think the Patriots aren't going to start making charges left and right from here on in, you're nuts.

It's going to be football and investigators for the forseeable future. What a circus!

No, everybody who's been taping will now use other means. By Sunday there will be no easy evidence left to find.

revenge is a dish best served cold.

let's paste them in Foxboro this year

Let's laugh when Mangenius fails to win the division next year and the new york press starts asking for his head.

let's break out the champagne when he gets fired the year after.

patience will be rewarded, Patriots fans!

Way to treat the guy who gave you your start in the NFL Ratgina.

If memory serves, Mangina was on his last day with the Browns when BB stepped in gave Mangina a full time job.

Mangina is rat is nothing more then a rat.

Here's to pasting the Jets 70-0 in Foxboro!

If you think the previous handshakes were cold after the previous games wait until the next one... should be a little ice on the field after that one.

I'd spit in his face - or just walk off the field with the acknowledgment he deserves - none.

Ummmmm, I bet he doesn't even walk out there........ I'm willing to bet that he doesn't run out the clock either. He may even bring Vinny in to get his 21st season TD too. It could be 62-10.

Long term ----- Mangina pays a higher eventualy professional price then BB. BB is a 3 time champ and arguably the best coach ever. Mangina is an not established real well and has done nothing on his own.

In the end......... If there is one thing the world hates more then a cheater (if that what BB is), it's a snitch (which Mangina certainly is).

Re: Mangini's Role: NY Daily News Today

+1.

Too bad though that Mangini is so willing to just torch relationships like this. Doesn't say much about him as a man. Someone needs to photoshop up a rat/Mangini picture.

I think the likeness is good...

No handshake next time. If I were BB, I'd just walk off the field after the Pats hand the Jets their asses again next December.

As much as it pisses me off that Mangina did this to the guy that gave him a start, I have to say that Belichick should have probably treated his pupil with a lot more respect, not calling him by name, handshake incidents, etc. Belichick seemingly dogged the guy every chance he could just because Mangina saw a career opportunity and took the head coaching job with the Jets. Belichick didn't want him to go, and especially not to the Jets. It's pretty hypocritical of our coach, who did the exact same thing, years earlier. I believe that if Bill would have been proud of his student for getting a job offer and treated him like a proud teacher should have, Mangina would have kept this trade secret to himself.

Damn, I hate belichick but at least I used to respect him for his genius. Sad day for you guys.

According to a former coach, this is likely how and why the Patriots stole the Jets defensive signals:

The person with the camera, in this case, Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella, would tape the coach's hand signals as he sends the defense in. Then the camera person would verbally call out down and distance so the recorder's microphone would pick it up. Then when the tape is analyzed, the hand signals are matched up to down and distance and defensive scheme.

"They would have it all chronicled such as: 4-3 even defense, cover 2, hand to the belt, index finger up," the coach said. "Now if you had a sharp guy in the huddle who was in for every play, you would teach him the signals and he would look over to the sidelines and steal the signals and tell the quarterback."

Umm, you did hear Peter King say the Colts have done this too, right? Not that two wrongs make a right.

Um, this very thing was posted a couple pages back, troll-boy.

I'll say this much: If the Patriots lose any draft picks because of this incident, well then considering how wide-spread this little business is the NFL will have the shortest draft in history. All be over on the first day.

Wow!

New details came to light yesterday. The cameraman, wearing a team polo shirt under the league-mandated sideline photographer's vest, was stopped by security as he tried to enter the New England locker room before halftime, sources said. An animated discussion ensued, involving league security, Jets security and Patriots security.

The dispute, which occurred in the bowels of the stadium, lasted more than an hour, virtually the entire second half. At one point, it became so heated that New Jersey state troopers were summoned as a precaution, a source said. The Jets apparently were trying to confiscate the videotape, which wound up in the possession of NFL security. The tape was placed in a box, sealed and forwarded to the league.

I actually don't think it was an in-game thing. I actually just think it was SOP and then they'd post-game analysis, they'd look at D-D tendencies, ect..... for future use. The guy that got busted, was a film guy (that's all), he likely does not have any x and o smarts to analyze or realize.

Why would the do Green Bay, Detriot and other teams they don't often see. Simple, just add to the library of available info.
