Do the Ravens scare you?

He's definitely capable of ripping this D to shreds. Where am l wrong on that statement? It will be a tight game...

lol people getting scared of Flacco.. this is getting absurd..

He played well yesterday no doubt.

We know what kind of QB he is. He's an average to above average QB. He could have a very good game on Sun. He also could suck. Either outcome is possible.

The ravens defense has been underrated this year. They do a good job stopping the
run. I really hope we open it up a lil next week.

Look it up, the difference between the two run defenses is marginal.

Scared of them going all "Last Boy Scout" at the game? A little, I guess.

The Pats are a better team, playing at home, so while I don't think it's a slam dunk, I'm not "scurred".

EDIT - I do have a 85% probability of Harbawl whining about something during or after the game.

What is your over/under on the number of topics he will whine about?

Well I'm not surprised a Patriot homer considers a team who has given up 30+ several times to have a good defense lol

And I already pointed out that 2 of those times the quarterback threw pick 6s. So the totals would have been 26 and 23. But of course let's ignore facts

Big test.
They know how to play well and also win in Foxboro.
Tied for their Division lead with the Steelers and have no guarantee of a Wild Card.
First real test against a non-division opponent since the Seattle game.
A Conference game which could figure in Playoff seedings.
Still adjusting to life without Gronk.
I'm not "scared," but I do think we'll know a lot of what we need to know about the Pats after this game and @Den.

The Ravens are 1-4 against teams currently with a winning record.

They also can't run the ball and Flacco's passer rating is only around 85.

This will only be their 6th game this year against a passing offense ranked in the top half of the league.

And they are 0-3 on the road this year against teams not named the Browns or Jaguars.

For me what they did against us in the past is irrelevant to the next game. If the Pats are as good as we like to think they are they will beat the Ravens next week at home and make a statement. The bigger game is @ DEN.

I hate MNF games....such a long wait.

Flacco should have a field day against our defense. Heck, he lit up our 2014 defense which was miles ahead of the current unit.

...Can't wait for the phantom pi's on those deep passes that are uncatchable!

As a parent, I'm beginning to appreciate night games. Kids are asleep and I can watch the game in peace.

No, you're getting killed because based on your post history, if we were playing the Browns next week, Gronk was healthy and we had just signed the clones of Moss, Dillon, Mankins, Seymour, Bruschi, Vrabel, McGinest and Law in their primes, you'd still find a way to prognosticate doom.
Wow, that's...pretty pessimistic

You get nervous for Patriots games?

Why?

Let me try:

1. He's not holding his joystick when the Pats play. It's about His control.
2. He's afraid to play a good team and lose because, well, it would be his fault and the World might end.
3. It's more than Just a Game because the NFL and Roger Goodell told him it was.
4. "She" wouldn't like him anymore if the Pats lost. "She" expects success at Every level so he would have to be the Table for two extra hours if the Pats should lose.
5. He drinks more beer when the Pats play a good team and he wanted to save some $ to get his Mom that terrycloth bathrobe she wanted at Wal-Mart for Christmas, you know the pink one with white trim that matches his basement slippers.

Seriously, the players should practice more and try harder during the games so us fans so we don't have to suffer like this.

According to the geniuses at Wikipedia, the Ravens are a major rival of the Patriots.

We've played them twelve times, winning nine. Meanwhile, we've played the Raiders 34 times, including three seminal and critical games which included historic events. Nope, you're not going to find that in Wiki, although they do impressively acknowledge the existence of the Bills-Patriots series.

Everybody together now, one, two, three, "...because it's the Patriots..."

I actually think Flacco's 2012 Super Bowl run might be one of the most efficient, postseason performances ever for an NFL quarterback.

He's like Eli Manning, in that he shows up in big moments and big games
Yeah, their teams totally stuck with them, and they gained valuable experience as a result.

Meanwhile, the stupid NFL has historically, basically blocked several more than qualified, worthy QB's because they're slow, short, from the Ivy League, don't have a strong arm etc., and all their tremendous accomplishments in college and the CFL don't count and are just a mirage.

That's how you get Marc Wilson, Marc Bulger, etc. promoted over hall of famers, because the teams just love everything about them, despite the fact they don't win.

Well said..... lol

Chicken Little = Regular forum threads turning into game day threads.

Of course we can lose this game, but for every reason we could lose, we have 2-3 reasons we could win. That's about all you can hope for as there are no sure things. The term "Any Given Sunday" is one of truths of the NFL.
