Hope @shmessy sees this. Been killing the team since the surgery report came. From Team Gronk themselves , "independent physcian" i.e. Team Gronk's doctor cleared him to play

Don't know if he'll ever play for the pats again

Has there ever been a player in the BB regime other than Gronkowski where the team issues joint statements with the player's family? How strange. And this wasn't the first one.

Yeah it seems weird that they always have these long joint statements about gronk. Pats don't say crap about anyone else's status

Anyways get well soon big guy :(

It does show that just maybe... Just maybe... he's not considered as despensible as some of these other guys. Maybe he is in a category with Brady.

Might as well keep that letter saved. When he gets his season ending injury ( Any doubt it will happen) next year, change the wording around.

I'm very confident we win the Super Bowl this year, hopefully Gronk is able to attend our playoffs games atleast to watch or the Super Bowl

I hope so. Gronk is a great player. Game changer. I feel the patriots were aware of his injury issues when he fell to them in the draft. Idk it's just a real bummer.

sad, his career might be coming to an end. the injuries just keep piling up. three separate ones this year that have kept him out of games.

Not even an attempt at a Superbowl comeback? 10 weeks is a long time.

Just one of the many things Belichick is looking forward to watching his hands of when he says goodbye to Buttercup and his gravy train.

We do not expect that he will be able to play for the remainder of the 2016 season, but will await the results of tomorrow’s surgery before making a final determination.

What could change the situation after the surgery? What would they need to wait or look for?

BTW I don't believe it was one hit that hurt his back. Think it's an accumulation of stress on his back because of his workout routine, his style of play and his lifestyle.

We know that's what you're hoping.

I'm sorry that I've been ahead of the curve on RG87, and I hate to say I told you so.... but...

I love Gronk. He's the best TE I've ever seen, but at some point, you gotta accept reality.

May be the severity of the surgery will tell them if he needs to go on IR.
