How so? I'd blame Josh and Brady more than the team doctors. They're the ones that tried to bomb it deep to Gronk and he injured his back trying to catch uncatchable balls.

If he was going to be out he was going to be out anyway. I don't know what team doctors could to do in this case.

Yeah, but he's banged up as well. And we don't have a decent TE to pair up with him. Him and Gronk together when they were relatively healthy, unstoppable. Now, easier to stop. Every year, except 2014, this team has MAJOR injury problems. That Derby trade, in hindsight (though I hated it) is a killer. He's no Gronk, but he's looked damned good, and made a rival stronger in that position, AND, knew the offense. Anyone we bring in now, will be pretty useless except for blocking. This is a MAJOR ****ing loss.

Why do you keep saying that? Why would the Pats leak anything to Florio when they use local guys Curran and Reiss for that already?

You know who Florio's NFL sources are? Agents. He's an attorney and most agents have legal backgrounds; he has a ton of connections there. It was Gronk's agent who leaked this.... Why? Because he was looking out for his client and his reputation. That's likely the same source that leaked this info to Florio now too.

There is no one to blame. You cant predict how anyone can get injured on a play. Thats football. People will obviously blame the pats but its just terrible luck.

Hugely dissapointing, to put it mildly.

That was a dumb call, at the time, but the injury happened in Seattle and he was OK'd to play two weeks later. So I'd say there was a misdiagnosis, somewhere.

It's 8 weeks apparently. So he would be back no earlier than the SB.

Get ready to be disappointed in January, no Gronk + this defense, if Brady isn't perfect it's all over.

If it happened vs Seattle as reported they could of done this surgery weeks ago and he'd of been back for the playoffs.

Team will be fine with Brissett. With healthy Brissett they've been outscoring teams 27-0.

He cannot be counted on anymore for postseason in the future . Time to build around him. Sign a big name WR in the offseason to make up for gronks production

Well I guess that's that. Pats definitely should hold on to him long-term though.....

Isn't that why we brought in Bennett? We still have a top 5 TE, a good WR Corp, and two great pass catching RB's.

Not sure why we're dead in the water over this.
