OT: Ravens want a point for the team whose kickoff goes through the uprights

Amazing how dumb some of these coaches are. Even the ones who won a superbowl. First he whines about opposing teams, then he does the same thing without any success and now he wants an extra point for a kick that goes through uprights ? What the actual F ???

BB proposes sidelines cameras and moving PAT back and making the game more competetive and other end of the spectrum you have douche bags like Harbaugh who have no clue how the game is played. Coaches like him, Jeff Fisher are a disgrace to NFL. I am not saying he shouldn't propose a rule change but that he should at least think over his stupid thoughts before making them public.

At one point I thought he'd be a good coach to replace BB here in NE. Not anymore.

I hope at the end of the Ravens game BB uses the "Hold everyone" play just to see if Harbaby opts for a rule change on a play he used.

Harbaugh will whine that we "copied" Ravens play and that's when league will take notice and take away our draft pick for messing with "integrity" of the game. :D

maybe we should get rid of kickers all together

Wasn't Ghost kicking some through the uprights on KO's early on? If this passes it would take some anxiety out of Ghost's XP's.:D

And:

If the kicker hits the crossbar on an field goal - 4 points (I mean that's gotta be harder than putting it between the posts).

I heard the Ravens are also lobbying for 1 point per Pass Interference flag accrued on passes traveling 40 or more yards down the field, plus 3 points per game for each woman-beater on the active roster at the start of the game.

Well, in the CFL, it's called a "rouge". The kicking team scores a single point every time the kicker makes a touchback. Now, the CFL fields are 110 yards long, vice the NFL's 100 yards, so that factors in.

However, the idea of a "rouge" in the NFL, like the CFL is to encourage the receiving team to field the ball and bring it out of the end zone and into play. To my mind, that's not such a bad idea, especially in close games, but only if the kickoff is moved back to the 20 yard line.

With those modifications, I wouldn't be against it, but it IS an interesting concept.

Of course, Belichick is already playing with the kicking game. You might note how, depending upon the score and who is back to receive, the Patriots will often kick the ball short of the goal line to force a return. Coach figures that with the speed of our Special Tams players, they can get down there and hold the receiver to less than the 25 yard line.

Situational football. It's what makes New England such a fun team to watch.

Ravens want all conversion to be worth 7 points if a former player got away with murder by virtue of a disappearing white suit.

Ravens want a point if an opposing offense lies up in a formation that is too tricksy and they call no fairsy before the snap.

I think the Ravens should put more support behind the "offensive fumbles in the end zone go back to the point of the fumble (instead of touchback for other team)" than the "1 pt for kickoff through uprights"
