If the Bills would have won yesterday, we would have been hearing all this week from Rex how they are going to the Superbowl etc...so glad they lost!!! Should be a different story from the last time we played them...... If we can win, the division is essentially wrapped up!!!!
But Rex always seems able to get his teams up to win one to save his job.

McCoy will play. Rex was resting him for the Pats game. Don't forget he is one of the best coaches in the league.

With ben's injury, this becomes our biggest game of the first half. Expect us to be sharp especially after a pretty sloppy outing in pitt. Hopefully no to's, minimal drops, and good special teams.

This and @Denver should shape the season. Win them both and we can afford to lose to Seattle as the rest of the schedule should be easy (I know, you never know, I remember the end to last year).

Rex is in a tough spot with McCoy, NE then @Seattle to get to the bye. He really should sit these two games and come back 100% in a month but he almost certainly won't.

Pats have one of the best run Ds in the NFL but the Bills even without McCoy have Mike Gillislee who seems to be doing really well this year. While I am not sure how well he can catch he averages a good clip per run and has the size to potentially carry it 30 times.

They lack WR options to say the least.

At this point I don't see how their O does much. I assume our D will play safe and be happy to not let them get cheap big plays and let them score 10-16 to accomplish that.

It's all on the coaching staff though. Why not sit against Miami him to speed up recovery. They not only lost the game but completely unnecessarily aggravated the injury of one of their key players and might have compromised the best shot at bring relevant they had in a long time.

Or to phrase it differently.. "works for me".

We talked about it in a thread on Sunday, but there were reports that Shady was "tender" in warmups before the game. If Rex knew that and STILL put him out in the lion's den, that should be a fireable offense.

Except we play Denver in Week 15.....so it may be all but over at that point. I'd say this game is for the division title and maybe more.

I'm guessing that Rex will somewhat mimic the Steelers defensive game plan but add a few blitz packages to the deal. Avoid the turnovers and this game should be over by the beginning of the 4th qtr.

It might end up costing them a playoff spot. There is a pretty good chance that McCoy won't be back to his usual self until he actually gets a 1-2 week break because it's damn easy to re-aggravate issues like his during games and then essentially treading water in terms of getting healthy.

Fortunately this is not only "not our problem" but in fact pretty welcome..

That being said I think Rex will have another year unless the Bills collapse completely and finish the year with a series of losses..
