Well someone already posted a gif of Chung's near INT to apparently show the issues except the fact that Malcom Brown beat his double team on it and got pressure and hurried Jones into a throw which was almost picked.

Brown was a stud out there today.

He's getting paid to be great not average.

Not the point. In this slump of his, he's still around the average....that means he's still EXCEPTIONAL otherwise. Especially compared to the mean.

Don't agree here....the D was shaky and lucky at best. If Rottenburger was in there this game....we lose. Defense needs a lot of work

QUOTE="EMpats, post: 4783427, member: 37002"]I thought the Defensive game plan was brilliant. The patriots were confident that they would score points against Pittsburgh's defense, so they played conservatively on defense knowing that the most they would give up was 15 to 20 points that way. If they played aggressively, and Pittsburghs line was up to the task, it was conceivable that Jones could've put up huge numbers and scored a lot of points. I think it worked out exactly like they thought it would.[/QUOTE]

Nice defense at the end of the game there. With Butler, Rowe, and Coleman as their top 3 CBs now they have a lot of athleticism at that spot. Pass rush is still a huge problem though. I can't imagine Belichick won't try to address is at the deadline.
Hard to rush the passer when the opposing team is allowed to hold, block in the back, and even outright tackle defenders (with an occasional flag thrown in)

Sorry if I missed it, but have the snap counts been released?

Give them Solder and a 5th or 6th.

They both have similar cap hits for the next 2 years.

Vollmer's done after this year. If they think Solder could move to the right side, making the deal (try to get back a low round pick in return for that second) isn't a terrible idea.

A win is a win. I think people worry too much about how it looks. BB will do what is needed to win. Why show all your cards when you most likely will see them again?

The O and ST made lots of mistakes, which need to be cleaned up.

Blount was quality and Gronk was Gronk. No matter how ugly the D looks, remember, when the O plays, you are seeing 2 future HOF players at the top of their game. THAT should make us all happy!
