He asked and the Rams granted, now he's pretty much the top dog on the list of QB's available and should look for a starter job in San Francisco, Denver or NJ.

IMO, he was awful in St. Louis but he did well in Philly, it's another guy with some talent that still needs a good coaching and some refinement, but it was thrown into fire in this league and is looking worse than he really is.

My guess is the Jets will give him a sniff.

J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, suck

sounds like they might wave bye to Fitz

Fitzpatrick signed with Jets.

Ugh... smh. Well hopefully he can live up to the nickname FitzMagic and do something he hasn't done in his 11 year career... make the playoffs.

I think it could very well be 12mil in cap space wasted, but at least he's an easy guy to root for cause he gives it his all.

No, screw that. Hopefully he will fail miserably, condemning you and yours to abject disappointment, regret and yet another autumn of rancorous despair. (In other words, SOJ.)

You not only contradicted yourself in the same sentence, this contradicts what you wrote earlier touting doofus Gee-No! for the job. Jets suck from the top-down, all the way from their dishonest goofball owner to slimy inbred fan base. Hell, even the rats crawling from nearby swamps into New Giants Stadium to sniff Jets fans' putrid feet suck. What a lost cause your team is.

No, no contradiction here. Fitz is very easy to root for. He's got a ton of heart and will sacrifice himself running around like a mad man to get extra yards.

He goes out there and gives his all. Problem is, his all wasn't good enough week 17 last season and the previous 10 years of his career.

Geno is definitely not an easy guy to like. It's immaturity combined with not really being a "people person" in NYC with the corresponding media attention. He's a kid who is growing and maturing though. Just not well liked yet, and in turn, not easy to root for.

If I was making the call, Geno would be starting and McCown/Foles/Anyone would be signed as a vet backup.

But I'm not Macc or Bowles and dont have all the info they do. I'll have to trust 'em while rooting for Fitz to finally get over the hump.

Or root on Geno somewhere around week 6 or 7 if Fitz keeps up his track record of not being able to beat good teams. (Only decent teams Fitz beat last year were Skins and Pats.)

My regard for this post wouldn't fill 1/100th of a miniature thimble in my preschool niece's dollhouse.

As a patsfan, I wish you make the call. :)

Fitzy was your only real chance at QB. That's why the Jets caved.

You're dead wrong about Gee-No.

Living in enemy territory (NYC), I get to see a lot of Jet's games. Fitzy is indeed a likable guy, he's also a warrior on the field, if I wasn't rooting against the Jets I'd root for him. That being said, there is always something about him that he seems to choke at the worst times for his team. The last game of the season was a perfect example. Beat the putrid Bills and you're in the playoffs, and he just couldn't get it done, despite a ton of chances to win that game. My first thoughts were same old Fitzy.

That being said, he has a ton of good weapons, including a running back I wanted in free agency and a TE coming back from a lost season due to injury. Add that to the good weapons he already has, and the Jets should be improved from last year. Biggest threat in the AFC East to the Pat's dominance. Fitzy is definitely the 2nd best QB in the East.
