Thanks Elijah for posting that for me

Anybody know about D'runya Wilson the WR is he still with Pats or has he already been released

He never actually signed with the Patriots.

He got D'Ran out of town. I actually was hoping the Pats would sign him. We still lead the league in names with apostrophes though, so at least we have that. Side note, D'Runya may be my all time favorite ****ed up first name.

I don't consider DE to be a "Loaded" Position. Not with the Pats potentially moving Ninkovich inside. That would leave just Sheard as the only guy who has been productive in the Pats system at DE. Flowers, Grissom, Johnson, Long and McClellin are all going to be fighting for snaps. Yes, McClellin is likely on the team based on his contract, but nothing is for certain.

Do you think Rufus has a good shot at making the team? I didn't realize they were definitely moving Nink inside. Interesting, he is one of our best pass rushers.

Where is this talk about Ninkovich getting kicked inside coming from? First I've heard of it and seems weird since he does so much more than just rush the passer, moving him inside would limit his ability to drop to the flat in coverage etc

I can't wait until Justin Coleman grabs a roster spot. Just to show you all who have left Coleman off your projections.

Yep. I'm fully on board with this thought. The fact that Coleman played as well as he did last season as a rookie seems to be going unnoticed. Perhaps it is just a numbers game?

Butler
Ryan
Cyrus Jones
Coleman
Roberts

These would be my five. We will see.

I would trade Ryan and bring in Jonathan Jones or Leblanc

I didn't even realize Coleman was a rookie! That dude played damn well for a first year player. His "second year leap" could be something. I like your 5 CBs listed a lot.

Ashley - I said potentially moving Ninkovich inside.

Don't worry. Unless Nink has dropped a ton of weight and shed at least 3 years, he'll only move to ILB if there are multiple injuries to that position.

I figured that was just being done for positional versatility, make it one more option out of the same personnel grouping that could throw off the OC and perhaps cause some blocking assignment confusion. Did not expect they'd ever really be looking at him playing inside as a regular thing, unless depth there was catastrophically depleted. He's too well suited and good at what he does at DE.

He was a coveted undrafted rookie after that team cut him. Then the Seahawks and Patriots both wanted him.

At the same time, we have a lot of promising DEs and jack **** for LBs behind Hightower and Collins. Counting McClellin because he played DE at OTAs, you could argue that we have 7 DEs worthy of a spot on the 53: Ninkovich, Sheard, Long, McClellin, Johnson, Flowers, Grissom. Of those 7, some can potentially kick inside and play DT in passing situations (Sheard, Johnson, Grissom) while others can potentially stand up and play linebacker (Ninkovich, McClellin, maybe even Johnson and Grissom again). So, depending on how everyone in this group pans out, there could be a situation in which the best combination of players on the field involves Ninkovich at LB. This would require some stepping up by everyone behind him and Sheard, though.

Patriots.com depth chart lists McClellin and Johnson as LBs. So not as lopsided as you suggest. Although still thinner at LB, DE is really deep and so is DT. Will have to wait and see how it sorts out in camp.
