BB needs to trade for a RB

If the running game was not adequate even with Brady running the show, now that this BS suspension is confirmed James G may need some help so he doesn't have to throw a lot in his first 4 games.

I was surprised BB didn't addressed this in the draft, now it seems we're headed to take a look in other teams castoff and try to get something good out of it, I just don't think this changes the situation. Only a trade for a more proven player would change this scenario in my opinion.

It doesn't need to be a big name, just to be clear, but a guy that is healthy and can play a lot of snaps. Not sure Blount is that guy for a whole season and playoffs.
With last year Oline even Adrian Peterson couldnt do much, maybe yard or two more.
I hope that Dante will solve problems in Oline and that Solder and Vollmer stay healthy. That is the key. RBs are fine.

2015 was microfracture.

He's made of glass. 2 years straight of being IR'd
Are you certain he had a microfracture? Can you post a link that confirms it? I just googled "Tyler Gaffney microfracture", and the results that came back either didn't include microfracture, or attributed it to another player mentioned in the article.

You say that now, but where were you 3 years ago? Were you actually coming out against Easley? Or were you just wishy washy and non-committal?

I was in the draft forum speaking against that pick when people started to mock Easley available for us at #29. Not gonna search now but yes, in this case I was really against that choice but once it was made I supported the choice as I could understand it was a gamble. But that's not the point here, I was just making fun.

I doubt you'll find anything. Heard it from a buddy whos pretty good with this info but hes swung as missed too. Same leg that was injured in 2014.

I'd put this as more probable than not. :D

Even if Gaffney were 100% healthy he never played a down in the NFL. Has been limited since drafted, pretty much a rookie, that's not exactly the RB we want to be our primary back.

Outside of learning pass protection, rookie Rb's have, by far, proven to have the easiest time assimilating to the pro game. Sure, the guys that specialize as pass catchers (vereen, white) typically take a little time to get up to speed. The between the tackles, 2 down backs have shown over and over that rookies cam get it done no problem (if the ability is there). Almost every year there is a rookie rb (if not 2 or 3) who has a very productive if not down right incredible year. What you see far less of are guys that have been in the league for a few years and all of a sudden bust out. Occasionally an oft injured guy busts onto the scene, but rarely a guy that's been the 3rd or 4th option on the roster and healthy. Sure, sometimes a change in scenery breathes life into a floundering career, but the majority of the time there has been strong evidence of the talent prior (clock killin' Corey dillon, marShawn lynch was always good in Buffalo, but not to the extent he took games over in Seattle, etc).

So that's my short explanation for why "essentially being a rookie," is more or less a moot point, IMO.
