So, the Pats have 2 open spots on their 90 man roster.
Nate Ebner is heading to RIO for the Rugby 7's as part of the Olympics. Good Luck to him and Team USA.

And the Rookies have reported to Gillette.

Who is YOUR binkie?

Jersey numbers for the new Patriots.. Doesn't include Kerbyson who was just signed.

Land Ahoy, Cap'n! Land Ahoy! Relief in sight for the crew of USS Patsfans, driven nearly mad by the offseason.

My binkie? Can Chris Harper overcome the Curse of Mike?

If Leblanc and Both Jones impress then Ryan could be traded one year early because I dont see the Pats giving him more than 3 to 4 Mill a year on the open market he could fetch 7 to 8 on the open market

I think this is a definite possibility. Also don't forget about Roberts; he can run (4.38-second 40-yard) and he has some size and played very well in training camp last year before injuring his wrist. So you have Butler, Cyrus Jones and Robert as locks with Ryan, Leblanc, and J. Jones competing for 1-2 extra spots. I am not so sure about the other FA's since I did not see a lot of tape on them.

I thought Bostic was traded to the Lions...

It's been a long off season ... bring it on.

Amongst rookies, DJ Foster definitely. Have a soft spot for Devien Lucien.

Looking forward to seeing how Shaq Mason and Jonathan Cooper fare too.

Kamuuu .. the Honolulu Missile

I know its a little cliche, but I like "Flying Hawaiian" much more. Its the way he flys downhill on Punts and kickoffs. I just think it suits him better. Im from Hawaii and will be trying to think of a better nickname for him. Just meet him a few weeks ago at a friends BBQ back home in HI. Very humble dude who understands where he's playing and what its going to take for him to stick around. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Let's not forget the semi-productive rookie season that CB Justin Coleman had, either. He was a fine choice for CB5 in my opinion, and will certainly have the opportunity to earn more playing time in camp.

Any way you look at it, we should have good competition at the position.

I blame Kraft for this. Just another kiss the *** of the NFL move from BendOver Bob.

Thanks for the nice background. But I truly see him as a missile. Lots of guys are flying up and down, but on tape he looks like he fixes his target, not only flies but fires himself to it and destroys it. Thats why I see him getting some LB duties despite being undersized. Hope he can bring his missile game to NFL.

Seems like in this era, size is negligible compared to playing style for linebackers. All the more reason that it was confusing that he was drafted as a safety (written on the draft card).

The competition at nickel corner should be intense. I have to wonder how much the team is going to try LeBlanc at safety during TC. He needs to add some muscle to his frame to play that position full time, but the guy certainly has the skill set to play it.

I keen to see how quickly Lucien can pick up the system. He climbed the learning curve pretty quickly when he switched schools at the college level. If he can maintain that trajectory at the pro level I think he might turn into something.
