Suspension-Gate ... You Know it's Coming

I'm not going to argue with you on the fact findings of Deflategate.

Point of it is, one team pointed the finger at another team, in game, and there was "evidence", that at the time, seemed suspicious.

There's no way the league is going to send a spy to follow Tom Brady to watch and listen to conversations he has in own home with mutual friends, that may or may not, have information regarding the Patriots, told to this mutal friend by Brady's teammates.

Let's not overthink this here...

You sure about that? Sure it sounds crazy, but I am not. They just spent millions investigating a couple wisps of air.

BTW - it's going to be like Brady died for the 4 weeks.

You think the NFL is going to bug his house, tap his phones and intercept his mail?

I'm all for the conspiracy theories, but come on man.... LOL

Honestly, Todd, if you don't believe after all that's happened that this league, The Dope and his Gestapo aren't capable of spying on and monitoring Brady's every move, I don't know WTF to tell you. You can't be serious.

It wasn't one team or one game. The conspiracy was hatched and the plot in place before the Colts game.

Deflategate: Baltimore Ravens tipped off Indianapolis Colts about New England Patriots' deflating footballs

The last thing I am worried about is Brady not being ready or not being up to speed come week 5. I think it's safe to say he's familiar with the system. This is where the team benefits from the certainty of the suspension. Belichick knows he has Brady until September 2 so he will make sure everything is in place prior to the 4 week blackout.

Brady is to smart for that to become an issue

i would love to have him catch Goodells henchmen spying on him though. Can only imagine the fall out and eventual lie from Goodell on explaining it.

LOL you write that like Goodell would need evidence.
Article 46. He needs no evidence. Seriously.
He can also suspend Gronk for 4 games because he obviously practiced with Tom and he doesn't have to have evidence. I might be overstating it a tad, but 44 states would cheer him "finally" giving it to the Patriots.

I always thought players could get together with each other. I know you can stop Brady from going to the Patriots' facilities or contact with coaches, but how can you stop the guy from having a drink with Gronk or Edelman or whatever?

He can say it is for the integrity of the game and article 46 was collectively bargained.
Will he do the same to, say, the Steelers and Le'veon Bell if he meets up with Ben in a bar? Probably not - but he can. Will he do it just to mess with the Patriots? Maybe, maybe not, but he can and he needs no evidence.

You underestimate the Supreme Authority.

Would that be any worse than what they have already done to him?

The same way you can suspend a guy because he was in the field when nature impacted the air pressure in footballs.
They not only punished for something inane but actually invested the evidence.

Yes, I understand the commissioner manufactures evidence and the whole deflategate thing is a scam, but I'm trying to figure something out straight up:

We know suspended players can't go to team facilities or be in touch with team personnel (there actually is an exception whereby players who are injured may consult with team doctors). But are suspended players allowed to associate with other players? I always thought they could, and I would be very interested if anyone knows the answer or has any evidence to the contrary.

Repeat after me: He. Can. Do. Whatever. The . F###. He. Wants. That's Goodell, not Brady.

Discover during a sting that Patriot footballs measure -1.5psi below the expected 12.5

We got you. You are ****ed!

Discover to their great surprise that the weather and the IGL accounts for at least 1.25psi.

Discover their refs used 2 gauges that have a .4psi difference between the 2 of them.

Conclude Patriots must have deflated their footballs by .4psi

We got you. You are ****ed!

LOL give me a break...

What they did to him was an injustice and a total abomination, BUT, it was completely legal as it happened it the workplace and the rediculous punishment imposed by the NFL was sanctioned by the CBA that Brady and his fellow players agreed to.

Spying on someone and tapping their phone is a FEDERAL OFFENSE. The NFL and the owners are not going to jeopardizing the entire sancity of their league just to further screw with a guy they already defeated.

I get fans here can get emotional, but take a step back and realize the absurdity of that what you're trying to claim...

Did I mention wire-tapping? No. Spying on someone? Yes, and that's not any sort of offense and it's totally legal when the person being monitored is required to abide by certain restrictions in regard to personal contact - and that's Tom Brady.

They do not have to do anything illegal to follow and investigate him. If goodell determines something may have happened that is a # integrity issue he can start an investigation and summon Brady's phone.
Who doubts he would do that?

I would not put it past the insanely jealous, corrupt NYJFL to hire a PI firm to keep 24/7 tabs on TFB

The scariest thing about CA2's ruling is this is totally legal and gotohell absolutely can do it. Simple as we have reason to believe you texted Bill give us your phone. No? 4 games for non cooperation. That ruling is just....wrong on so many levels.

Brady can’t “engage in any team football-related activities or discussions with teammates, even if away from the club facility.”

Brady would never do it but I would love to see him invite his entire receiving corp over to the house and take pictures of them playing catch out in the yard......with a frisbee.
