They've warred between tribes & countries throughout history in the ME.

ISIS and al Qaeda weren't spurned by revenge, it was out of religious doctrine.

sharia law is also not related to greed.

Too many of them actually believe their Qoran literally. That's what needs to end
they need an enlightenment/reformation period, they are about 500-600 years behind

The enlightenment period already exists in parallel. Just like every other religion or scientific community, there are groups of people stuck in time and those who progress.

I don't know why this is so but there seems to be groups of people who refuse to believe that there is such a concept of "difference of opinion". They want to stereotype everyone into one label. Ask yourself if you are such a person. Every human being is a unique individual with a different perspective. No one can speak for another.

but for the most part, the muslim ME is more in line of the time before the reformation and enlightenment period, i cannot think of any country that is near the moderation of the west, or even russia or south america for that part

Moderation is relative. It is YOUR understanding of moderate that affects YOUR opinion. You have also clearly not been to parts of middle East or have middle eastern friends.

You and me ordinary people. The ordinary people there want the same thing. A peaceful life.

What are your thoughts about Turkey? I've never been there, but I've heard wonderful things about Instanbul. A poster down in the PoFo has compared it to Italy and said it was very tourist-friendly before all hell broke loose.

Went to Ismir in 1993 with the Navy (saw the city and some of the surrounding country). Many from the ship took a trip to Istanbul, with all positive reports.

Certainly poverty there, but pretty country with friendly people. Actually fewer issues there than the trips to the Greek islands (safety alerts for riots during protests were around then and military installations were not immune).

I respect you immensely, and i dont want to turn this political, ill just end this exchange here, but agree ordinary people want a peaceful life

Likewise. I'm sorry if I seem overly aggressive. You're a bigger person than I am.

Prayers goes out the family and survivors of the attack in Kabul, may the ones that did not survive RIP

I'm writing from Germany. There's no doubt that people here feel VERY unsafe in the big cities (I'm in Berlin), which is just what those b**t**ds want ...
