No, although requirements have become part of it.
Not sure I understand. Are you saying you're against diversity or?

Any credit for Strength and Conditioning Coach Moses Cabrera from New Mexico whose parents are hispanic/latino (Dad is Victor Cabrera and Mom is Martha Chavez)? Cabrera replaced African American Harold Nash via promotion in 2016.
List of current National Football League staffs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Link)
AFCE
Patriots - 15 Coaches - 2 Minority Coaches. 13%
Bils - 22 Coaches - 6 Minority Coaches. 27%
Jets - 17 Coaches - 9 Minority Coaches. 53%
Dolphins - 20 Coaches - 5 Minority Coaches. 25%
That's true in general, and has absolutely nothing to do with Bill or the makeup of his staff. The NFL is a classic "good ole boys" club where rich white men hook up their other rich white male friends and it's hard for black men to get into those circles. That's just the reality of the situation. This is why the same terrible coaches keep getting recycled back into the league.
The Jets have 19 Coaches according to their website.. And that is not including the 3 Strength and Conditioning personnel.
Also, I hadn't realized that Pepper Johnson went to the Jets from the Bills.
The fact his staff has a greater proportion of black coaches than the proportion of blacks that make up the population (per an earlier post) kind of makes the whole thing a non story.
at least now i know how many draft picks it going to cost us****! Goodell is going to take two first round picks at the behest if the NAACP and Troy Vincent. Brady might be suspended for four more now too. F*ck!
Not going to speak for him, but I *THINK* he's saying he's against diversity just for the sake of diversity. May be wrong. Either way, I'm sure he'll be around soon to clear it up.Not sure I understand. Are you saying you're against diversity or?
Does BB have any ex-NL players on his coaching staff? If he's picking few coaches that were ex-NFL players, why even bring that stat up?It's a little misleading though, to compare it to the general population, when nearly 70% of NFL players are African-American. The disparity gets even worse when you compare that to the diversity rate for execs and owners.
I find that point a little mis-leading as most HC spend a lifetime coaching while most players spend a lifetime playing. It's a little misleading though, to compare it to the general population, when nearly 70% of NFL players are African-American. BB did a lot for the careers of Ozzie Newsome and Romeo Crennel. That disproves serious bias right there.
His former-NFL-player coaches have, I think, been largely black. No bias problems there.
His entry-level hires have been from groups that are traditionally white -- his own family, lacrosse players, small liberal arts universities, whatever. I wouldn't mind a bit of affirmative action to get a black face or two into that mix, but that's all anybody should ask of him in that regard.
Ray Ventrone is the only former player on the staff that I know of.Does BB have any ex-NL players on his coaching staff? If he's picking few coaches that were ex-NFL players, why even bring that stat up?
