Ezekiel Elliot busted for Domestic Violence

Having read the story, it looks like the following points need to be made:
1. She claims he assaulted her in a parked car
2. Elliott denies the story or ever having her as a "live in" girlfriend
3. 4 other witnesses in the car deny any such assault occurred
4. We should know by now that a "headline" on ESPN is not necessarily the truth

Chicks are crazy sometimes too, man. I thought about #2, honestly. He just got caught hooking up with a random because she took a picture of him sleeping and put it on social media. Hard to believe he has a live-in girlfriend, but who knows?

I hope his football wasn't deflated
Also am I the only one who wouldn't mind taking a flier on Ray Rice for league minimum the man is being blackballed.
Yet Adrian Peterson Greg Hardy and Ezekiel Elliot more than likely will play.
He's even willing to donate his check to charity the guy misses the game.
If anything to see people go nuts.

Maybe if he were 5 years younger it would be worth the initial media shock to bring him in, but at 31+ years old and with how much the media would love to take a crap all over us for signing him, it's not worth it

Good information to have, it's definitely something that happens regularly with athletes, especially young athletes like him brand new to the league...

As Bill Burr would joke, there is a platoon of gold digging *****s that form on the horizon whenever a rich athlete is around that will intentionally try to make bad press like this and press charges just so they can make a quick couple hundred thousand in a settlement that the player ends up always reluctantly paying to make it go away

That's why they need to make it a serious crime to falsely accuse someone of this.. if it's found that they were lying to make money, they should face jail time..

If it's true that there were multiple witnesses, then she be lyin! Probably just a cash grab

Jerrah has a gift....some call it a knack. He is like a Precog in the movie Minority Report. He can previsualize (draft) would-be criminals even before they commit their first crime.

You don't get it. He's a Legend in His Own Mind. Al Davis II will find a wild child nobody wants and he will be a Pro Bowler. He got burned by Sean Peyton leaving for NO, so he thinks he can "make" another one - Jason Garrett.

So given that we should a massive overblown punishment from Goodell.

I hope he's innocent and gets suspended anyway and then loses his appeal and the league files a motion to confirm in CA2 so there's nothing the player can do.

I want other teams to go through what we went through.

the police report makes it hard to understand why he is even being charged:

I'd think if someone sitting in the drivers seat was assaulted, the person in the passenger seat might notice? The other three weren't in the car, but say they saw the whole thing and it was not an assault.

While I hate to doubt a victim (stats show they generally are truthful), this sounds super-fishy.

He hasn't been charged.

There is a lot that is fishy about this. She seems shady, but those are some serious bruises. I read a report where "a source" from Elliot's camp said those bruises were from a fight in a bar with her current girlfriend. I find it strange for a witness in a car to say he "didn't see anything" as opposed to "nothing happened". Allegedly, Elliot has a lot of evidence of her saying she threatened to ruin him.

Right now we are at the stage where rumors abound. But I stand by my statement that as much as I hate the league office, I want them to do to other teams what they did to us.

No. If for no other reason than to piss off the haters even more. I'm not sure there is anything left in RR's tank but given the dirt that exists in the league and Park Ave, he more than deserves a chance as he isn't any more reprehensible than Goodell, Hardly, et al, and they have jobs.

I know the witnesses are denying it too, but I see a lot of people here a little too eager to doubt this claim.

I would not put it beyond some teams to plant groupies to latch onto an opposing player to get them suspended for domestic violence. For instance, some chick gets paid by Oakland and Von Miller is suspended 10 games.

Who cares.......I hope he gets the Ray Rice treament

Jerruh already has McClain, Gregory, and Lawrence suspended for drugs/PEDs.....couldn't happen to a better team

I'd consider Rice just because I want a running back. James White is a receiver and seems like he is actually refusing to run the ball on purpose. He is too quick and almost 200 pounds to suck that bad. Same thing with Bolden. Instead of learning to break tackles etc, he is doing everything but run the ball effectively. Slater is rubbing off on him in a negative way lol.

Disagree. This could be happening to the Colts. Or Ravens.

There's no concrete evidence in this yet so many of you are hopping on this as if he's guilty. I'd have thought after the ordeal we've just been dragged through that we'd be a little more sympathetic of allegations and not just going off of headlines.

5) Chris Carter says....."Always have 4 alibis ready at a moments notice"

Four fall guys ... I mean, WITNESSES in the same car? That's six folks in one car. You'd think someone else would get hurt too if he was abusing her.
