Tannehill? What? The guy hasn't even made the playoffs... Tannehill? What? Huh? How?
Among all active quarterbacks, Ryan Tannehill is in the top 10 in completion percentage, completions/game, interception percentage, and passing yards/game. Those four statistics tell you that he is accurate, takes care of the ball, and he moves the chains.
Ryan Tannehill has a better completion percentage 61.9% over his first four years than Andrew Luck - 58.1%. Tannehill's completion percentage in his first four years is 2nd highest in NFL history except for Carson Palmer's 64.1%.
Tannehill has played in a chaotic environment and still posted two back-to-back 4000+ yard seasons in 2014 and 2015. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for more yards 15,460 than Andrew Luck's 14,838 in their first four years.
This despite leading the league being sacked over the past four years and and leading the league in 2013 and 2015 in yards lost due to sacks. Put a line in front of him that could fog a mirror, and maybe have the same system for a couple of years in a row, and Tannehill's numbers would be top 5.
