Rumor (speculation): Fitzpatrick to sign with Patriots?

That's not what I was referring to by your stirring the pot. THIS is what you said that you apparently now have no interest in backing up (post No. 58): "some here think the whole league cares enough about the Pats and Brady to have some big conspiracy against them." That implies belief that the league's trumped-up investigation and trumped-up penalties were right and proper and anyone believing otherwise is a "wacko" conspiracy theorist. You have no place here with that sort of snide commentary.

Bravo Tunescribe, you stated very eloquently what I was thinking but couldn't put into words. Prior to that post of his, I was actually thinking he was OK and when last week XLIX was going off on him, I felt a bit bad for him and wanted to defend him as I didn't think he deserved it. XLIX, my bad... you were right all along.

This last post of his though, calling us all wacko's (guess he didn't realize that MOST if not all pats fans believe there is a conspiracy against us) because we KNOW and have EVIDENCE that the league is in fact trying to handicap us, has pretty much outed his true beliefs and intentions which is to troll us.

You messed up Jetfan79 - you were doing fine until that post. Now its obvious you are here just to troll us.

And just for ****s and giggles, if you want to prove you are not a troll, please explain the following (if as you say, there isn't a conspiracy against the Pats):

1. Tuck rule, everyone bashes the Pats for only being where they are because of the tuck rule which they think was ruled incorrectly. However, no one seems to remember that earlier in the year the Jets were the beneficiary's of the tuck rule against ... US. Please explain why this is our fault?

2. Spygate - The most severe punishment (at the time) in NFL history for video-taping from the wrong location. Please explain why the Jets did not get any punishment for the same crime. Please also explain why the Fins earlier that year admitted to stealing Pats signals and the NFL and media just laughed it off as a team doing its best to compete.

3. And of course stupidass-gate - I presume you live in either NY or NJ? Please explain to me why in the middle of December and its cold outside and you see your car tires are low, why you have a hard time believing that the same doesn't happen to a football in cold weather.

If you can rightly explain to me why its wrong for me to think there is a conspiracy against my favorite team, then I won't ask for your banning. My guess is you won't even respond, or if you do it'll be something along the lines of "i'm not gonna re-hash over history" or some such crap.

Please prove me wrong.

Agreed. But to be fair, some here think the whole league cares enough about the Pats and Brady to have some big conspiracy against them.

All fan bases have the wackos.
Looks like there's already been a few good responses to this, but since you were responding to my post, I'll second what others have said, that while I've found most of your posts fine, this one is silly at best and could easily be seen as trolling.

"The whole league cares enough about the Pats and Brady..." Well, yeah. This league, and other fandoms, have been focused on the Pats for some time now. Suggesting otherwise would be the stuff of wackos.

You've been exposed to enough facts to realize that the NFL intentionally railroaded Brady and the Pats. Your inability to realize this betrays your true nature.

It actually is pretty tough to land a stinger. I mean we are used to dealing with the Jets, so any insults have gotta be pretty good to have any effect.
Whatever. You might think you're cute but we don't. It's pathetic not cute that your team generates so little interest for you that you have to go to other fan's boards and troll. It's just as pathetic as the picture of the two kiddie actors kissing that you chose to use in your profile. Maybe that's your way of signalling to us that you're in to kiddie porn. Given that you're a Rats fan, it'd be no surprise.

I do apologize. But not for not thinking there's some conspiracy against the Pats. The apology is if I ever gave the impression I was a Patriot fan. (I'd think JetFan79 would state that clearly.)

You do realize it's only Pat fans who believe in some big conspiracy right? And I always figured it was a relatively small percentage who really thought that. Sure maybe some would BS, and go along with conspiracy theories for the fun of it at times. I mean, hey I sometimes wonder if Elvis is still alive or if Area 51 is an alien hotel. It's fun sometimes.

Now do I hate the Pats? Nope. I'm not going to get into some Pats @ss kissing description at the moment, as I've complimented the Pats enough before, but suffice to say I do enjoy and respect good football. So I occasionally not only watch some Patriot games, I'll actually root for them at times (mainly for fantasy reasons, but still).

But I sure as heck don't think the owners and league as a whole are dragging the NFL through the gutter dealing with all this BS just for some dumb grudge against the Pats.

If you really think 32 NFL owners, and those at the top who profit greatly from this league would willingly scar the source of all the billions of dollars being raked in... well, we do not agree to say the least.

If that's a troll, 99%+ of non-Pats fans (and many Pats fans) are then trolls by that definition.

Steph Stradley dislikes the Pats, but she certainly believes the NFL conspired against them. She is far from the only sports analyst that's not a Pats fan that holds that belief. Hell, even the NY Times says the Pats and Brady were railroaded. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/23/s...nce-at-new-england-patriots-expense.html?_r=0

You've been proven wrong time and time again on this topic, yet still spout ******** on it.

Damn, that croc held up pretty well vs all the hippos!

Discovery Channel makes it seem like one big hippo can split a croc in two if so inclined.

Hippos are one of the most dangerous and aggressive mammals in the world. Sure, they're deadly in water, but on land they're even more dangerous. The crazy thing is that they are herbivores.

You have just signed, sealed and buried yourself. OF COURSE you buy the deflategate investigation and penalties because you WANT them to be true. Honestly, why are you wasting time here? With every post you say something irrelevant to us regarding the Jets, something unfunny, or something passively aggressive toward Patriots fans. You are not liked in this forum and your team is loathed. Please go away.

Moderators, once again, please ban this jets troll.

No doubt. Not that I plan on hanging by a river in Africa anytime soon, but I'd certainly prefer finding myself around crocs vs hippos.

From my extensive Discovery Channel education, crocs are mainly dangerous within a short range and with surprise attacks. Granted once they clamp down, you're F-ed... just don't let 'em sneak up on ya.

Hippos? Screw that. That's 3-4,000lbs rumbling after you with huge tusks and a mouth that opens 150 degrees.

Not to mention...

The NFL league office is run by Jets employees, including Goodell, Pash, and the guy who tried to set them up, Mike Kensil, and they absolutely have been trying to f.ck the Patriots over for years and years, while letting the Jets skate by on serial tampering charges. And while you are trying to paint it as some league wide conspiracy it's actually much simpler than that, it's league office employees with deep Jet ties going after the Patriots while the owners turn their heads and say "attaboy" to them. Spygate was A creation of the Jets and the league office, when the Jets were caught doing the exact same thing the year before in Foxborough the league did absolutely nothing, those are facts, not conjecture. Same goes for the "deflagrate" bullsh.t, Mike Kensil was on the record that he was going to pay Belichick back for leaving the Jets and despite a league protocol that requires the league office to notify teams if a complaint against them is brought up, he ignored it and tried to stage a sting, and then he and Pash, another Jets employees, gave false information to the Colts who gave it to Kravitz , and Mortenson and ESPN who put the lies out for all to see and let them up long after they were debunked. Once again all facts, and the only people who argue otherwise are those who hate the Patriots, and that includes every Jet Fan out there, and all of you have your heads so far up each other's asses that sunlight never reaches you to disinfect the crap.

The league office is a Jets Sh!thole and it needs to be wiped clean and Jets employees purged. And jet fans can all drop dead, complete loser scumbags, all of you.

Those aren't crackpot conspiracy theories those are the facts so shove them up your ass and trot on back to your scumbag Jet buddies.

It's an incredibly simplistic if not idiotic rendition of what happened and I agree it's one that you and a large percentage of the NFL fandom would come up with and/or agree with but it doesn't make it accurate.

It's clear a core group of NFL employees targeted the Patriots while targeting no other team, and even when it was (or should have been) clear their procedures and the evidence was poor Goodell ran with it. Once he took his stand he couldn't back down without losing face. The 32 NFL owners have 32 different reasons why they chose not to make an issue out of it. You seem to think the teams all would put the "integrity of the game" above their own interests. To me that's naive and yes, idiotic.

And now that the NFL went to the mattresses over ball pressure you see that they haven't instituted league wide rules and procedures changes to address this "problem" they've put so much time and energy into addressing. That should tell you all you need to know.

The NFL promised everyone a study on PSI levels and then never released the numbers after pretending it wasn't planning on doing a study anyway.

The NFL leaked grossly exaggerated information to the press and refused despite numerous pleas by the Patriots to release the actual numbers. The Patriots were crucified in the world press because of these highly exaggerated PSI amounts. It is quite possible Deflategate only became a Gate because of this inaccurate information.

Goodell lied to make Brady look guilty to the world. He did so because he thought the court transcripts would never be unsealed. But they were.

There's a hell of a lot of lying and politics going on here.

I wasn't asking you to be a pats fan. I was only asking you to take an unbiased look. Look at it this way, turn everything around and lets imagine instead of the Pats being what they have been for the past 15 years, its the Jets. BB stays on the Jets, drafts TB, they go on to win and win. Then the Jets are caught taping from the wrong area, and they are given most severe punishment in NFL history. Even though the Commish (who is a known pats lover) punished the Jets because they didn't follow his memo which contradicted NFL rules.

Then a few years later your team is ... ehh you know what, screw it. I don't even know why I'm trying to convince you. Its late and I'm too tired now to try to convince you, especially knowing you won't be convinced either way. Have at it, believe what you will. I'm done.
