Rumor (speculation): Fitzpatrick to sign with Patriots?

NFL has been playing games since 1920. Thats 1000's of cold weather games. Yet somehow, the Patriots receive the worst punishment in NFL history for the fact that footballs lose pressure in the cold.

Does it rise to conspiracy levels? Is a Holy-****-we-screwed-the-pooch-here coverup a conspiracy? Is a 20 year Jet employee lying in ambush for the Patriots a conspiracy?

Does the NFL leaking grossly exaggerated PSI deflation levels to the press and watching the Patriots get lambasted by the world media for months without a correction constitute a conspiracy?

Like I said, this guy trolls this forum and he throws personal attacks at PATRIOTS FANS. I don't appreciate being called a "wacko" in my own team's forum because I vehemently defend Tom Brady.

Still wondering why a guy who is a fan of another team who does nothing but troll this forum and criticize Tom Brady is allowed to post here.....

While I don't believe in out and out conspiracies, I have a lot of sympathy for the Patriot fans that do. As such I resent the wacko name-calling.

The source of every single Patriot cheating accusation has come from a Jet employee (yes, 20 years a Jet makes Kensil a Jet employee. The Jets were caught filming the Patriots sidelines with no investigation by the league, They were also slapped on the wrist for illegally messing with their kicking balls.

When does a vicious double-standard become a conspiracy? I don't know, but I understand their thought process of how they might get there.

With that in context, I have to say I find it distasteful that a Jets fan continues to engage in passive-aggressive trolling on this highly sensitive topic.

He's added to my very short Ignore list.

Kensil totally counts as a Jets employee. The guy grew up in a Jets household and became a Jets executive. His family was directly attached to the Jets organization for 40 years.

I can't even think of a good analogy to compare to that. The best I can come up with is take Stephen Belichick (Bill's son), a guy who grew up in a Patriots family. Suppose he spent the next 20 years of his life as a Patriots executive, then after that took a job with the NFL, and then he orchestrated an investigation based on his own lies about the Jets.

I wonder how Jets fans would react if such a thing happened.

My bad. No offense intended. I said all fan bases have wackos. Didn't think that'd be insulting.

"Wacko" is possibly the least offensive thing I can think of. I call my 3 and 5 year old nephew and niece that. Perhaps next time I'll try something even less offensive like "silly billy". Of course with the disclaimer that I mean no special offense for anyone actually named Bill.

That's not what I was referring to by your stirring the pot. THIS is what you said that you apparently now have no interest in backing up (post No. 58): "some here think the whole league cares enough about the Pats and Brady to have some big conspiracy against them." That implies belief that the league's trumped-up investigation and trumped-up penalties were right and proper and anyone believing otherwise is a "wacko" conspiracy theorist. You have no place here with that sort of snide commentary.
