Here it is:

I wish he would have fought it to the end, even if hopeless. Failing to take it to the bitter end will just give the haters more ammo.
i understand Tom that he quit, not playing 4 games later or maybe in playoffs its a big risk, but from his facebook statement this is pure capitulation and ego decision being afaraid not playing in SB. I hope that he order NFLPA to go to SCOUTS, and he should write the following.
I am quiting this cause i wanna help my team, but i would like to help others players that nothing similar happen to them so NFLPA will take this to SCOUTS. I would be more than happy with this statement, but i am very pissed about his FB statement. Dont like it

Im sure he didn't consider your feelings in how he conducted himself.

I wanted him to stand by the GOAT coach in 2007 and work to get rid of Rog. He could have built relationships with the teams getting hammered by Rog and been in a good position to oust Rog after the Ray Rice fiasco. Instead he stood beside Rog at every hamfisted punishment and during the Ray Rice fiasco.

The signs were out there that Rog is a two faced scumbag and the league's front office was anti-Patriots. Trying to make nice with Rog was a big mistake and one that Bob seems to be standing by.

I don't know what to call a Monday morning quarterback, nine years later.

We all would love to know what we know now nine years ago.

You also don't know what Monday morning quarterback means, so you have that going for you, which is nice.

My 2 cents:

PWP: More like the typical Ken several dollars worth

2. In a strict football sense, it was probably for the best. One of the worst things you can have in a football season is uncertainty. Now the situation is clear. The Pats know what the situation is and can plan accordingly for it.

PWP: Agree completely. That was my point. Did his coaches & team a favor. Now they can focus.

That being said, I had better NOT see any clips or pictures of him making nice to Roger Goodell after this point. Icy politeness better be the limit of his interaction with Goodell at this point.

PWP: Ken, may I suggest you stay away from the Internet, TV & newspapers for your remaining life because I guarantee there will be new photos of Bobby playing rump swab to Goodall.

Ken: Do NOT open this

You can't blame Brady for his decision in this matter. When your boss capitulates in a pathetic manner when it really mattered settled the case. All the PR statements since then don't mean anything. Goodell and the 31 owners have won and the other owner can come out of his bunker now.

You have to answer for Pat Patriot, Bob.

"Rob, you've got it all wrong..."

You fingered Pat for the Orthwein people. Aaaaaaaah, that little farce you played about the franchise being "broken and ridiculed"...you think that could fool an actual Pats fan?

"Rob, I'm innocent. I swear on the kids, I-Please, Rob, don't do this to me..."

Sit down.

"Don't do this to me, please..."

Goodell's dead. So is Jeff Pash, Kensil, Vincent, Grigson, Kravitz, Doyle, Matt Walsh, Lester Munson. Today I settle all family business so don't tell me you're innocent, Bob. Admit what you did... Get him a drink... Come on. Don't be afraid, Bob. Come Onnnnnn, who do you think's gonna accept the Lombardi trophy in February? I've been a loyal Patriots fan all of my life, Bob... Go ahead, drink, drink. No Bob, you're out of the league business, that's you're punishment. You're finished. I'm putting you on a plane to Vegas. Tom? I want you to stay there, understand? Only don't...tell me...you're innocent. Because it insults my intelligence. Makes me very angry. Now who approached you about changing our logo and uniforms, Tagliabue or Orthwein?

"......It was Orthwein."

Good... There's a car waiting outside, to take you to the airport. I'll call your girlfriend and tell her what flight you're on.

"Rob-"

Go on, get out of my sight.

I hate the the NFL won this one, but I'm starting to look at it in a positive light. TFB, in my opinion is the GOAT, but the reality is he will be 39 this year. Giving him a month late start to the season my be one of the greatest unintended consequences of all time. The Bye is week 9, so he plays a month, gets a rest and then charges into November/December/Post. Also, I love that we get a true glimpse of Jimmy. Chins up gang, this all has the makings of a great season.

Get over it.
interesting how some fan react just like their athlete/celeberity/musician star acts.
everyone on fire, lets fight to the end, and after that person decides to quit, then suddenly everyone quits.
Just like nothing happened.
U have option to clear your name, even u know that u have 0,1% chance, and if u are afraid that u lose games later, u can still accept the punishment and fight to the end. That is Tom which i know, not the quiter.

Your assertion that he has given up is incorrect. He chose to fight a different way... to put everything into being the best QB he can be and to remove any potential obstacle to winning a superbowl.

I think I Dislike the statement but frankly, I'm not sure I understand what's written.

I'm certainly not happy that he didn't go all the way to the Supreme Court. Brady giving up just doesn't feel right.

Ken, you were in my territory! I work in Pittston, PA which is only about 7 miles up the road from Wilkes-Barre, and live a few miles up the road from that. What were you doing in these parts? Work-related?
Working with a company that provides the course work so people can pass their written and practical licensing tests to operate cranes. I was here to proctor the practical tests, for applicants who want licensing to operate a crane. Essentially the test is to determine can they control the crane to pass skills tests under time pressure. Before that they took 3 written tests that take up to 2.5 hours. In this case the class was made up off guys from the local IBEW in Kingston.

BTW- if you want a good meal, Ross, I'd try the "Oyster" at the Gennetti/Best Western. I had a great meal and my thoughts were echoed by a lot of people. It was a little pricey, but WTF I had the company card. l) I also had a good pizza the night before at Tony's in Kingson, but I heard there are a lot of good pizza places in your area.

OUCH! I can't relate to how they can do this though I understand that it is constantly being done, like politicians who hate each other yet shake hands and smile for the cameras all the time. I couldn't do that. Not in my nature. If I don't like you, you know it. When you are a nobody like me, I guess it is it is a luxury the super rich don't get, though you'd think it would be the opposite. ;)

**** you Roger
You know .....if Roger contracted AIDS from a cheap crack whore....and got hit by a bus walking to the treatment clinic...,it would still not be just desserts for what HE brought about to Tom Brady. This whole thing was ridiculous, was a witch hunt, and destroyed the image and legacy of one of the greatest ambassadors and role models that the NFL has ever seen. If there was ever a "guy that you hoped every young man (or woman)playing ANY SPORT would emulate their behavior....it was TOM BRADY....the best of the best..,.the guy who always has put TEAM first.....the guy who WINS because he is better than everyone else and prepares better than everyone else...

For us in New England Tom will always be the greatest ever.....he will be a role model for our kids ...and this situation WILL ONLY MAKE HIM MORE LEGENDARY....and more ICONIC! Sadly, the rest of the pathetic fans of every other team who beg year after year to have WHAT we have....to have a team that makes the playoffs nearly every year if NOT every year, who wins 10 plus games a season and who has won 4 Super Bowls in the past 15 years.....they are pathetically JEALOUS of what Tom Brady has brought to NE.,..

And Goodell....the closet Jets fan WITH AN AGENDA....should be fired for his misuse of power and BIASED ACTIONS towards ONE team and one team ONLY!.,..,the NE Patriots

Why?! The rest of the sore ***ed loser teams and their fans.....if they can't BEAT us.....we must be doing something illegal...,must be some illegal action or secret......Nope Belichick is just smarter....,and Tommy is just BETTER than ANY QB to ever play the game........these continued attacks on the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick, and Tom Brady are unfounded, irrational , erroneous and unfair. We beat everyone else because we have the BEST HEAD COACH and QB to ever coach and play the game.......Brady and Belichick's Legend only grows stronger here in NE .....and that is all that counts!!!

Always remember Patsfans......."They Hate us.....because they AINT us!!!!!"

Go Pats!!!!!!

Just like "spygate" the Saints weren't doing anything that hadn't been a common practice in the NFL for decades and decades and their only real mistake was ignoring the memo. The real problem is Roger Goodell and the NY JETS run league office. It's not surprising that the same incompetents who couldn't run a franchise have failed miserably at running the league. What needs to happen now is a fan movement to "give the fans what they really want" which is a complete housecleaning of these league office, starting with Roger Goodell but including everyone above the status of receptionist.

Good luck to your Saints this season.
Good luck to the Pats

Ah okay, cool. Pretty sure I've heard of Oyster a few times but haven't been there myself. And yeah, there are a few good pizza places around here, and the average quality of pizza shops here is pretty high. I attribute it to how close we are to New York. (I know, NY sucks, but they do make a damn good pizza.) There's a local variation of pizza around here called "Old Forge style" (named after the town of Old Forge in west Scranton area) - the locals love it but I'm not a big fan. NY style is best.
