so I just had a real stupid idea that would never happen, so of course I had to run right to patsfans to share it with all my friends who are venting gotohell hatred green vomit right now.

So what if the nflpa put pressure on the players in the pats first four games (or even all the teams) to stage a "work slowdown" type action to protest management until Tom is reinstated (and preferably gotohell fired) . The slowdown would be for players to NOT PLAY TO WIN, just run every offensive series as 3 spikes followed by a punt and a fair catch. The game would last forever, the ratings would be crap, and there would be enormous pressure brought to bear on the scumbag.

Well, it's hard enough to get 3 people to agree, so we know nflpa could never make it happen. but I wonder if there is anything NYJFL could do about it legally. There is a right unions have to stage protests, slowdowns, and strikes. penalty wise, 2CA already told gotohell he can essentially order players children to be spanked for all they care so I guess he would respond in kind with more suspensions .

Anyway, that's my agitated, disappointed vent for tonite. Your thoughts? . . .

Patriots Fans Can Support Tom By:

1. Season ticket holders can ask Bob for a credit for the first 3 home games
2. Boycott watching the first 4 games on T.V. or internet
3. Boycott buying any patriots merchandise
4. Don't visit patriots.com or nfl.com

Tom Brady is a big reason the Patriots have been dominant for the past decade plus. This is the least the fans can do to show him we appreciate what he has done for the franchise. The only way Bob is going to wake up is if he gets hit in the wallet.

Oh enough with this nonsense. How about win-win-win-win for Tom? I mean, seriously, Tom is going to be watching the games from his couch and will be screaming his ass off at the screen if he sees the Pats half assing it or playing to lose or forfeiting or whatever.

4-0 --> 16-0 --> Super Bowl.

That's your best F-U, period.

As devastating of a loss as it is for the union and what it might mean as far as a precedence point of view is concerned, the players in reality don't care that much about Brady where they would willingly sacrifice their stats and a chance to increase their market value just to make a statement about how they're upset.. They already lost in court, so a lockout just to save Brady from a 4 game suspension doesn't matter to them anymore.. they don't care about Brady, not like we do anyways...

the fight is lost unless they appeal to Supreme Court, which doesn't look likely and would be risky to boot. The rest of the players in the NFL aren't going to shed a tear for Brady missing 4 games, everyone generally dislikes the Patriots because they know that the Pats are an incredibly difficult obstacle in the way of their goal to win a Superbowl... so they already lost the fight that matters in the court room and won't care if Brady misses 4 games, especially since it allows them more chances at Wins and increasing their market value

This whole thing is ridiculous though.. there is enough disgusting things going on in the world, and now one of my favorite escapes from reality has a big turd in the middle of it from all of this... it's just really unfortunate.. and "whats best for the shield" is to see the Patriots get knocked down a couple pegs, and it looks like the commish is on board with going to extreme lengths to make that happen off the field so that they can impact their product on the field

Belichick would never go for it because he wants to ignore the noise, but how about every player at a certain point holding up two hands: the first with one finger raised, the second with two for TB12.

(No comment on which finger is raised and the direction it is pointed in the circumstance that the Ommissioner is present).

Season ticket holders should just not go to the games in weeks 2-4 if they really want to make a statement to Kraft. Since that won't happen, it's a moot point. Hell, we have season ticket holders in here that have spent a year and a half telling everyone how "fed up" they are and yet have admitted to renewing the last two seasons. Hard to take a principled stand when you keep lining their pockets.

The NFL and despite a lot of ideas it will not slow down, Goodell knows that and that is why he continues his authoritarian ways.. not a lot of folks care about the process, the focus is on the product..

The NFL is a juggernaut, that sheds tacklers and detractors like some gargantuan cartoon character..

The best revenge is to develop great game plans and win at least 3 of the first 4 games of the seaons..

Winning is all that matters. That is why you play the game.

RG has been a huge jerk and fans who don't bother with truth/details ate it up. It's a sad state of affairs. I used to wonder how decent people could follow bad leaders (like 1930s Germany). Deflation situation has proven that most people are easily manipulated and can't be bothered to investigate.

I wonder if they'll drop a banner honoring TB12 -- it was mentioned that they would have, during the previous year, if the suspension went through.

The Patriots should have the #12 patch on every Jersey and Kraft should eat the fines the league imposes.

As fans go just stop buying any league sponsored items, the 31 share those profits.

the entire game the fans should sing like a Euro soccer crowd. "Fawk you Rodger"

the irritating thing about the acceptance is the narrative outside New England now is "Oh so he's accepted his punishment, that means he was guilty all along"

It is hard to keep vigilant about the cold hard facts here. The League manufactured a crime in order to handicap the Patriots, simply because they resent the success and haven't the fortitude to resolve the competitive problem with integrity. Therefore, every team that plays the Patriots this year using their starting QB and their first round draft pick is knowingly cheating.

Now, will the other players come to understand this and take corresponding action? Will the opposing starting QB's and first round picks "get the flu" for those first four games? Not without a concerted effort on the part of Brady and the NFLPA.

I suspect greed and competitive instinct will win out and they won't

Don't you mean the 32

Nope. I think Kraft f.cked up but forgave him after he filed the brief against the league, regardless of what many think that was a complete FU to the league office. My only issue with him is his unwillingness to call Goodell out by name. The same goes for his statement yesterday, liked the statement but thought it needed to call Goodell out by name. I stopped buying NFL merchandise years ago and will never wear a Patriots cap or sweatshirt again but I'm not yet ready to give the game up. Although I get closer every year. As far as the rest of the league goes I have both middle fingers up to the franchises and fans, with the exception of Pherein and to some degree the Saints, who got screwed even harder than the Patriots, Payton's suspension was disgraceful.

Everyone should join me on the relevant reddit areas and watch via streaming and cut there cords with ridiculous TV companies. I watched the UFC 200 live the other day on a 6mb stream. :)

The NFL was determined to get its pound of flesh and they did. But even the haters know this was the most trumped-up, over the top, piece of BS ever (they like to irritate Pats fans by pretending otherwise). And the thing that will irritate the haters the most - winning #5.

longer games = more commercials = more money for the nfl.

What the patriots should do is start every game with 10 people on offense, no qb, and take a delay of game penalty.

Bill would never do that...IMO.

But I love that idea. It would be a clear, unified, one play statement of indignation. How about one game???

I would be very tempted to watch the 4 letter networks on Monday for the dimwitted responses.

.............I said tempted.

Same with me. Almost bought 200, but the streams were solid. Since I live in California, I have watched the streams for years and the quality is getting better - plus most of them have no commercials. I do miss watching most games in HD, but truth be told, I feel guilty planting on the couch all day, so watching streams on my laptop allows me to get stuff done around the house and screw the NFL all at once.
