$115 million over 6 years amounts to $19 million per year on average. That's elite QB money.
Not elite QB money, actually...high teens is now average to above average QB money.

Respect. I doubt it with the way sports teams seem to be throwing money around. I know it's a different sport, but Gay just signed the richest contact in NBA history with Memphis. Wtf? Money is just being thrown at athletes these days in a way that I don't recall even five years ago. It seems every new contract is now the biggest we've ever seen, it seems. Jones will get paid because his position demands it. I'm glad it won't be here. He was good but not yet anywhere near great.Jones better have a hell of a year in order to get that kind of money.
I just heard it on 98.5 admit an hour ago - 85 mil/six years (IIRC). It didn't say how much was guaranteed though.Muhammad Wilkerson looks like he's about to get his money from NY. Averaging around 17 million a year.
Hate to say it but it's probably smart by them. I was hoping they'd throw the money at head case Richardson.

Remember when he got caught bribing and colluding with the urine test guy to corrupt his drug test?
I do.
Only got 2 games for that.

no, it was increased from 4 games to 6 after they found out he cheated the test.
I'm not necessary disagreeing with your point about Miller's coverage ability, or lack thereof, but I just wanted to point out that Gronk v INSERT NAME HERE is a mismatch. So that's not the best example, perhaps.Flacco part 2.
He had a great couple games. Can't cover worth a damn (see Gronk v Miller). Makes that D one step closer to 1 dimensional.
Elway is taking a huge risk here. Before last season (a contract season) Miller has has a bit of history of disappearing in the playoffs. He has had a bit of an injury history. He is one failed drug test away from a year long suspension (although I would assume there will be language in the contract protecting the Broncos from that).
When Miller is on, he is an elite player. But he has a lot of red flags that other elite players do not.
Good thing the Pats got something for Chandler Jones this year because Jones is going to get probably $40-50 million guaranteed if Miller is getting $70 million guaranteed.
According to his urine test, he is menopausal. He has the metabolism of a 68 year old woman. Oh and one more thing, he may have osteoporosis.Remember when he got caught bribing and colluding with the urine test guy to corrupt his drug test?
