At the end of the day is was accusing Tom of conspiring to deflate footballs and the NFL jumping the gun, not understanding science and maintaining power over it's players.

Tom's legacy is just fine.

At the very least, I hope this means he can finally discuss it. He is free to say that he never did anything and that he and the workers got railroaded. I wish he had something to that extent in the statement. I don't care what anyone else thinks or what others think, I just think it would be good for fans like me. This ending is just so dissatisfying. Just some sort of closure.

Sadly, I fear the line will be "it's over. It's behind me. I'm focused on this season. Onto [whatever]".

If he were ultimately going to end up with a four game suspension I think the circumstances couldn't be better.........

1.) right ouf of the gate so Jimmy G. has plenty of prep time during training camp

2.) in year a year in which Jimmy G. will still be under contract during next offseason (potential trade bait)

3.) Three of those games are at home

4.) Those three home games are not against the upper echelon of the NFL

I think it is, and this will be played upon by the announcer of NFL network and ESPN ad infinitum.. I do not agree with any of this, but the sensational news heads will play this for a long time..

I have incredible amounts of hatred for fans of other teams right now. We have been on an island with this whole thing since day 1.

As much as I hate the league office, I want them to go out and screw other teams and other players as badly as they screwed Brady. Hey, James Harrison, Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews? Guess what? Goodell can do WHATEVER HE WANTS TO YOU and you have absolutely zero avenue of recourse!! Sorry, fellas!!

I am fine with his decision but still mad as hell. We can all move on. The suspension is total BS, but it is what it is. The team can now get JG ready to play

Gotta say, I'm surprised and disappointed that this year and a half saga of injustice ends here, today with a Facebook post, but I respect Tom's decision.

I would've fought this till the bitter end, but it is what it is.

I understand his decision and support him but wish he had continued to fight.

I think part of his reasoning is continuing to fight had a seemingly small risk of being suspended during the playoffs which not only affects him but his teammates and coaches as well. Some of those teammates will only have one shot at getting a ring. So there's that.

But Brady, please file a defamation suit.
