What will the Patritots' W-L record be with Jimmy G?

2-2 AZ and Buffalo games would've been tough with even Brady playing.

No offense, but this thread sort of pisses me off. **** ain't over yet.

The home games make such a huge difference. Despite practice, I suspect JG will have problems with the loud crowd, getting adjustments called out, etc, everything that comes with being on the road. @Arizona is obviously a problem, after that the deafening silence that will greet him at the line at home should help a ton.

I'm going 2-2 but I wouldn't bet against them in any games other than Arizona.

I'm mentally prepared for 2-2 but it can go either way. I just want Goodell to suffer from some nasty disease.

Like Fitzy says with BB we could have the dead guy from Weekend at Bernies's and still go 12-4. But for the first four games, I say 3-1.

I voted 3-1 but I don't think the loss will be Arizona. I would bet bills or Miami and I think it will be close either way. This defense is really really good with talent in all three levels. This is not 2011 where the pats have to score 35 to win every week. Yeah there are gonna be games they win 20-17 but unlike some past years I actually have faith in that happening. 2008 should prove one thing yes Brady is the GOAT and clearly has made the team better but having the GOAT coach means a hell of a lot too. This won't be Brady's offense for the first 4 games but the rest of the team will know they have to do more because Brady is out. Jimmy is our QB and we will rally around him to kick butt. Let them try to derail our season and make them eat **** in frustration when it doesn't.
After today's court results I am hoping Brady has the biggest baddest defamation suit ever ready to go cuz what Gotohell did was wrong and he deserves justice. From making them sign a non disclosure about the real numbers, to changing the charges in arbitration, to lying in federal court....IMO the only way to get these facts out to the general public is discovery. Do it Tommy!

Voted 3-1 but I could see 2-2 because of Ryan and his defensive schemes that Jimmy won't be used to playing against. I think we have the talent for 4-0 but I wanna see Jimmy play some more before getting too hopeful.

I am hoping JG is decent. But there are no promises. Even 1st and 2nd overall picks are 50-50 when it comes to QB. Mirer/Leaf/Carr.... only three examples of hopefuls that didn't pan out.

It's going to be an interesting month. Those teams have Ds capable of creating problems, so JG better study hard every week.

Yeah those guys did not pan out but they also got thrown to the fire as rookies with huge expectations. They were on **** teams and expected to be franchise saviors. JG has had two years with zero expectations to come along and fix weaknesses. He has had the greatest role model possible on what it takes to be a sucessful NFL QB even if you don't have all the physical tools to be a first rounder. Do I expect him to be Brady? Course not there is only one GOAT. What I do expect is a top 20ish QB who does enough to win games behind a solid defense. Play smart disciplined football and don't lose the game. Not too much to ask and hell who knows he could surprise us and throw 3 td's a game. Not like he has no weapons

2-2 I think. I don't expect a whole lot from JG to be honest but the team surrounding him is good enough to win two, possibly three. I think we lose in Arizona and maybe drop one of our divisional games.

Just realized out Thursday game is the Houston game which gives JG a little extra time to be prepared for Rex.

The cardinals was gonna be a tough game even with Brady. On the road against a top ten defense with no run game and a mediocre offensive line

I would love to see us go 4-0 and Jimmy look overall very good. Something like 9 TDs 3 Ints 1100 yards would be very welcome. That would be enough to give me confidence that he might be the next guy.

I wished Jimmy G was Rodgers 2.0. He has been under brady's wing for a couple of years now. You would think he would be licking his chops for a chance now

They're a game plan specific team and I don't see that changing much if Jimmy G. is the starter for the first four. Even if they don't have him drop back 50+ like they have with Brady, they'll still pass it with regularity if they feel that's where the matchup is most favourable. And so your theory will definitely be put to the test.

I'll reiterate that I think 4-0 is possible and even likely if they stay healthy. Does AZ have talent? Yes. They also have a coach I respect. But they also have a QB who is suspect in gashes against good defenses, and we will have one if those. They also looked like trash in BOTH if their playoff games and needed mistakes from GB close to the end to even force OT. That's a trend with GB, btw. Buffalo actually gives me pause and I could see that being the game where Brady's absence is most noticeable. Brady had beat up on Ryan more in recent seasons, but Ryan had also been able to frustrate Brady at times better than just about anyone else. Now it'll be two if of them planning to stop Jimmy G. That could tough for the young kid.

At minimum 3 - 1 and if everything breaks right 4 - 0.
The Patriots have killer weapons on offense and a top 10 defense that can create TO's.
Jimmy G doesn't have Brady's touch but Brady doesn't have Jimmy G's legs.
Jimmy G and the Patriots will be just fine.
