Alan Millstein: Brady's chances of en banc hearing dramatically improved with latest amicus filings

Jeez, settle down guys. He was responding to my post about this thread in a pretty harmless way. Relax a little.

I'm fine, thank you for your concern if not for the inaccurate condescension that I need to "relax a little".

There is a big difference between me responding snarkily to a Jet fan that is being an intentional irritant -however subtle he is about how he goes about it so he doesn't get banned -and me "needing to relax". If I get to that point, it will be very clear to everybody. :)

If you had read earlier in the thread, this guy clearly doesn't even know the basic facts of Deflategate and yet here he is telling Patriot fans "there's nothing left to argue".

While perhaps you are in the "Brady should just give up because Deflategate is just so boring now" crowd, some of us aren't ready to give up the fight.

No, 5 seconds of reading will show you I'm not in the "Brady should give up" crowd.

I also think most would agree we're damn tired of it. I'm sure Brady is.

We're either going to be super-elated ( if only to just get to the en banc hearing) or SB42 depressed........
For all we know they could have shelved this one and said, "we have 20 others in front of it, we'll get to it after Labor Day and I'll poll the judges then.......Screw it, it's summertime and the Hamptons are calling."

The silver lining to this whole episode is that there is absolutely no way that Brady will retire until he has number 5, as a minimum, he may even decide he wants 6 before he hangs them up. He won't be denied.

Then why did you say it needs to end?
You are also on record saying Brady shouldn't go any further.

I said both the Brady/court and Geno/Fitz situations need to end. And they really do. Been drawn out way too long.

This conversation has been cool. Especially learning that you guys sit in traffic for hours leaving Gillette. :D Actually it taught me to plan on having an after-game tailgate if I ever get to see a game there. May as well let the traffic die down before leaving.

LOL!! So let me get this straight:

Bob Kraft has an asset worth about $3.2 billion. But you think he should just "dissolve" that asset for nothing so he can compete with the very league he just quit, a league which happens to be the most powerful entity in North American sports.

Then he should go around and sign Patriots players. Presumably, he would have to pay them the same, so we're talking roughly $150 million per year. Just out of curiosity, where is that revenue going to come from? It's not like this new league has an TV contracts. Yeah, they could probably get a couple million total from Spike TV for ****s and grins I suppose.... a far cry from the (almost) quarter billion per team the NFL brings in.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!! Seriously, what color is the sky on your world? This is a joke, right?
The team is worth that. He's worth 4.8 billion.

Yes, that is why I said "Bob Kraft has an asset worth about $3.2 billion." Nowhere did I say that is his only asset.

I don't give a crap about Geno/Fitz and didn't even realize there was any sort of controversy there. Tough to care about the goings on of teams that are so far beneath our radar.

As for Brady, it needs to end but only with a just ending. One should not accept an unjust outcome for the sake of "needing" it to end. Furthermore, I think it is being underreported just how monumentally important this case has become for the players. If Brady loses, then Goodell has his license to do whatever the hell he pleases for the remainder of the current CBA (5 years), not to mention that the players would have to give something up in future CBA's to get rid of Article 46.

OK, it's a valid opinion. Has been for over a year. Just as you don't care much about Geno/Fitz, I'm sure you realize most non-Pat fans don't care much about this court case.

I do because of fantasy implications.

All I'm saying is this has been a cr@p offseason dealing with these annoying issues. Waiting for any word on things and debating possible outcomes to death with endless speculation from the knowledgeable and not so knowledgeable.

I'm sure everyone (or mostly everyone) will be happy when this BS is over.

And those people are invited to stay the **** out of this forum.

I don't go into Jets forums and tell them to stop talking about Geno/Fitz, so if you don't like what we are talking about here, then either shut the **** up or get the **** out.

Lol, c'mon man. Doesn't it get tiring being a douche? I never said to stop talking about it. I said the situations need to end. Give it a rest.

Seems like ya just want to argue. If so, that's cool. But not in the mood for it today. Maybe tomorrow or later in the week.

I think the controversy revolves around the Jets decision to lowball the hell out of him when they actually had the most effective offense in years last season (typical NYJ move).

The additions of healthy burner WR Devin Smith and RB Matt Forte may allow them to hover around the 10 win mark again, so they'll probably be our main competitor. That's assuming of course, that they have an actual QB.

As Pat fans we'd much rather see things go through Geno Smith, so that's what I'm hoping for. It's hard to imagine the Jets not upping their offer to Fitzpatrick, though. They'd have to be idiots not to. Kudos to Fitzpatrick for holding his ground.

You call me a douche and then say you don't want to argue.

Can a moderator please get this troll off the board? He is only here to insult Patriots fans and bad mouth Brady. That's the textbook definition of trolling. Last I checked, this forum was called PATS FANS.

You have comprehension problems.
