Not only that, but if I were to ask you before both the Euros and Copa started which player (Ronaldo or Messi) had a better chance of leading their country to the victory who would you say had the better chance?

I think Messi is a better player (I am half brazilian and half portuguese, so believe me there is no bias here). His ball controlling skill is simply uncanny. Best ever, next to Ronaldinho in his prime.

The argument that Ronaldo didnt have good players around him in Madrid is not true, he always had an All- Star cast around him and yet he is behind in a heads up against Messi's Barca since his arrival in 2009. Plus, Messi has won more Ligas, Copas de Espana, UCLs than Ronaldo, even considering his time on an All-powerful Man Utd.

It is true that his has fall short on his National team (Thank god), but he has been a runner-up in all big competitions since mid 2000's plus he has an olympic gold medal. You have to keep in mind that those competitions only happen once every 4, achieving second place can't dissed out like it's nothing.

Finally, to say that he is only great because of Barca's way of playing is similar to saying that Brady is only the GOAT because of the Pats' system. A big fallacy in my view.

Nevertheless, I'm super happy that Portugal won. I was fortunate enough to be with my family in Lisbon, so we had a great party all night long. Well deserved

Ronaldo and Pepe are giants. Pepe is a great player..Ronaldo is a generational player. Ronaldo has won everywhere he's played now....he lit the world on fire in Man U and won everything, same for Real Madrid and now Portugal. Grande Ronaldo.
