Speaking of Madden: I'm officially retired. The only platforms available for M2K17: PS4 and XBox1. I have a 360, so it's nighty-night.

This is whack and possibly cheating.

I guess we can't complain anymore and throw the controller at the TV when it happens on Madden anymore. I'll probably still complain and throw the controller at the TV, though.

I haven't bought a copy since the season before 2014. I am refusing to buy another copy until they make the formation substitutions stick from game-to-game. It's something so simple and fans have been asking for it for years now. Madden 2004 on PS2 remembered all of my subs in each formation. I'm sick and tired of having to add Collins to my nickel before EVERY game because the default is to put the starting MLB in that role, which was Mayo. I'm sick and tired of having to make Dion Lewis my starter so I don't have to sub him in EVERY shotgun formation, which is predominantly what I run. That means I have to sub him out for Blount in ALL of my running formations, which seems equally time-consuming.

You get the point. I have to do this at the start of every game for multiple players. So I usually get a delay of game on my first offensive possession of every game. And defensively, it takes me about two series to make all of my defensive subs. I can't even make my #1 CB follow the other teams #1 WR like real life. They're idea of giving the consumers a more real football experience is to add more f*cking cut-scene animations that you can't skip over and B.S. like that. Until I can do things like these or determine which players I want on my ST's units, then I'm not interested.

Aww dude, Madden 04 on the PS2 was my all time favorite. If you played as the dog killer, you simply could not be beat.

If I see Madden for cheap on ebay, I'll pick it up, but its not like it used to be where every summer I'd look forward to the new version and pick it up quickly.. I barely even play the copies I have for my x-one.

TBH I don't really play a lot of the games I have, I usually just end up beasting on some Titanfall... really looking forward to TF2.

Nope. It was shotgun and take off with Vick. That's why I refused to play with anyone trying to pick ATL back in the day. That was also the year where you could put any player in any position, so I would usually put my fastest CB at MLB in the Dime to spy. It wasn't always effective against real-world players, but it worked against the computer.

That was my favorite version of ALL-TIME because I could also do things like change my ST's units. I had Rodney on every one. I'd put him on the wing and only kick to that side. I used to have almost 200 tackles every season with him until he got old and slow. EA doesn't listen to the fans (like many other companies, I suppose). They just add gimmicky **** every year, take away things that the fans either like or have simply gotten used to, and then add those things back two or so years later and call it new. That's their business model for almost a decade now. But people still go out in droves and buy it. Since 2004, the only copies I've purchased were the one with Peyton Hillis on the cover and the one before the 2014 season. I will not buy another copy until I gain more control over my team. Stop with the gimmicks and make it truly a real-world experience for me . . . and make me able to press any button to skip watching the f-ing refs review a play and walk back on the field to announce it. Stop making me sit for minutes watching the coach stand around as the QB walks to him at the two-minute warning. Yeah, these are cool because it's what you often see when watching a real game, but I should be able to skip over it since it doesn't change from game-to-game. Anyway, that's my rant. You get my point. I'm probably too old for video games anyway, though. LOL

No such thing! ;)

If Vick was off limits, I'd play as Kordell Stewart instead, he was on the Bears at that time. Not quite the same but could still run all over the place in the pocket until a WR will break one wide open.

Wonder what ole "Slash" is doing now. I wonder if he wishes he stayed at WR. F him anyway. He was one of the talking heads who jumped all over the BS in 2007.

And like Brunell, is also known for having the Patriots make him cry. Except of course Kordell started crying because we intercepted him too much. :D

Don't worry bud, EA will eventually add that as a BRAND NEW feature and keep it in the game for a year or two.

Par for the course and the money will keep rolling in.

Hah right? Hope you're doing well these days by the way :).
I am, Froob. Thanks, buddy. If anything has got me irritated these days, it's the void that is the NFL down time.Lol Training camp can't come fast enough.

I completely agree, and this is why monopolies are BAD for the consumer... EA simply doesn't give a ****, if you want to play a game with NFL teams, stadiums, players and coaches, you have no other choice but to buy their product and they know it.. They ride off of the NFL brand, which no other company is legally allowed to use..

That wasn't always the case though.. before EA bought the exclusive rights with the NFL there were 2 other NFL football games that were awesome in their own unique way.. I would buy NFL 2k and Madden every single year and play both of them a lot.. 2 different companies iwth differnet styles and approaches to how they provided the gameplay, both were really unique and cool.. then EA buys the exclusive rights and they were like "HAHAHAHAH, we don't have to try anymore!"

I was elated (never really get to use that word in convo) when the rights expired, only to watch them renew it. It's so frustrating. The electric company where I live is the only one, so they raise the cost whenever they feel and do a host of other shady things because they know we have no choice. EA couldn't care less what we want, as you've stated. It's pathetic. So they won't get my $60 plus tax. It may not destroy them, but I at least will have the peace if mind to know that I, the consumer, still controls the market. I have that power.
