And the cops.

Listen, I know many really dislike guns and any mention of weed. I even first initially thought the gun was a big deal, but quickly realized it wasn't. (The weed "smell" I couldn't care less about, even though I don't smoke.) It's like a bias I was taught and learned as a kid. Similar to being raised Catholic and thinking being gay was wrong. Both are things I've been gradually correcting.

Admittedly though, when watching Game of Thrones and they do those surprise gay love scenes, I still flinch. It's like, war, boobs, dragons... scene fade to back... surprise!... two dudes bonin' in bed. (Think they do it on purpose.) So still have some learning to do myself.

Just gotta realize our North East culture is very different regarding guns vs the rest of the country.

Congrats to @JetFan79 for choosing this board at this time to come out.

When you say you flinch at the gay love scenes on Game Of Thrones what do you mean exactly? Where do you flinch? Btw, if you read the Game of Thrones books you won't read about any gay love scenes.

I think the reason we here in the northeast have it wrong about guns is... nah. Never mind. Wrong place.

They've been standard issue in MA for years.

Makes sense. The NE area is decades ahead of the rest of the country scientifically speaking.

For example:
  1. The aforementioned thc breathalyzer
  2. IGL understanding
  3. Surveillance tools/techniques
  4. The latest sleeveless hoodie tech
  5. Super spiking ability (gronk)
Just to name a few.

.....

Seriously though, that's pretty cool if so. Wonder if it's not the most reliable or accurate, and that's why other areas aren't using it while development continues.

I know very little about THC breathalyzers beyond MA does it, and a friend of mine lost his license because of it. If their accuracy is as questionable as the article you cited suggests, the use of such things at this time is not a good thing. All that said, don't take a single internet article as gospel.

The use of such things isn't good to begin with. Supposedly the reason for these laws is safety because reaction time, hand-eye coordination, and decision making are impaired. We have the technology to measure these things, so let's just measure the actually issues rather than the chemicals that cause them.

Decision making is a tough thing to measure. The rest I agree with.

Now that's genius. And/or hurry up with driverless vehicle tech. Looking forward to the day I can step in a car with a 6 pack, flip the driverless feature on, put my feet up while drinking brews on route to whatever destination. Bad for cabs/Uber, but great for us.

May I suggest you buy a Tesla right now and test its ability to detect a large semi crossing the highway in front of you while you're watching your favorite gay porn GOT scenes on your DVD.

Oh yeah, I can feel the love around here...

The owner of the jets tampers with one of the best defensive players in football on live television and signs him within 3 hours of free agency opening and all they get is a $100,000 fine. The league office it's filed with former jets employees and they have abused their power over and over and over again while giving favor to every violation by the jets. And even given all that they haven't been to a super bowl since the 60's, Holy Christ do they suck.

Let's be clear, he was observed breaking the law by the police. When the police tried to stop him he fled in the car at high speed into a residential neighborhood where he could have easily killed someone the way he was driving. The cops had to draw their guns when they ordered him out of the car and he reached below the seat (where they found a loaded gun). He's lucky they did not shoot him and possibly others in the car with him. The report said everyone in the car smelled of pot. This happened WHILE he was being suspended for violating the drug policy.

A hell of a lot more happened then a speeding ticket. Attached is the arresting officer's report.SR Report.JPG

The favoritism shown by the NFL FO to the Jets is just disgusting. I am praying that someone brings a lawsuit against Goodell and the NFL at some point and all the internal emails and correspondence is made public.

Even though a case could be made that we did lose a SB or two because of the NYJFL's handicapping of our team, I'm starting to come around to the thinking that all of the Jets influence is making the winning even more enjoyable. At some point the NYJFL may have to just deduct wins from the Pats and give them to the Jets, but even then they'd probably mess it up.

I also liked the fact that, after all my years of complaining about this ridiculous 4 team division setup that gives playoff spots to teams with worse records than other more deserving teams, last year the Jets were victims. They finally have a record worthy of a playoff spot and they don't make it anyway.

Pats life is good these days. Thanks Malcolm.

so what if the gun was legal ! IT WAS A FULLY LOADED SEMI AUTOMATIC WEAPON.

we dont demonize guns. we demonize adults that go on high speed car chases trying to evade police, turning the headlights out to evade police, swerving into oncoming traffic, smoking pot and carrying a fully loaded semi automatic weapon all the while a 12 year old child is in the car. that's who we demonize . who the hell cares if the gun was legal ? let the cops sort that crap out. he should be in jail, not in the league.
Really don't get the point here if he had legal possession of the gun...it's like complaining that he went on a high speed chase, evaded cops, probably smoking weed, with a 12 year old in the car, while in possession of a jolly rancher. It's that irrelevant. The gun doesn't magically grow fingers to pull its own trigger at the perfect recipe of speeding, marijuana, and child endangerment

Move Along People! Nothing To See Here!
Imagine if he 'More Probably Than Not' took some air out of a football?! 4 game suspension, million dollar fine, loss of draft picks etc etc etc. Luckily he wasn't caught with a football air pressure pin.

Or imagine if a Pat, say the lovable prima donna Gronk went on a 5 day bender in Ft. Lauderdale and ended up doing something similar... 1 day? Right.
