LOL.

In case it needs to be explained, I was just putting the Germans' feelings in a context everyone here could understand (they were like jester fans waiting 4 decades for something that never comes) .

Of course, Germany is hell of a lot more deserving of the win and sympathy of an outsider than jesters ever would be. And I have to certainly hope that I will never live to see such a tragedy unfold to our boys losing to those punks in an afccg (or ever again in playoffs; [2010 division round was one too many]), and I could have used the 70s-80s-90s Pats fan analogy, but thought that with the number of young fans on the site the analogy would be lost on most.

Right now I'm pulling for Germany ...
Hopefully France blew their wad today.

Def should be the favorites..

I have my money on Germany. They're due to win a Euro.

Lots of guys injured/suspended for germany. Hummels out will hurt.

Not a fan of the French?

Thats a good, young team. I just think the Germans are a machine.

If im correct, I think Germany as made at least the semi final of every major tournament since Euro 04.

In Portugal case, they have a horrible track record vs both Germany and France.

Germany have beaten Portugal and every tournament since going all the way back to the 3rd place game at WC06.

France always ends some of Portugal greatest runs.. Euro84, Euro00, WC06. Id love to break the French hearts at home in the championship.

France is an excellent team ... I just don't want them to win.
They are very strong in all 3rd's and they are constantly pressuring the opposition defense by playing some long ball when there are defensive lapses ... they play the short and long game very well and their defense is tight. But again ... I just do not want them to win ... never a fan.

I don't think Portugal or Wales have deep enough rosters to go all the way.
Germany and France have the deepest rosters and overall strength in all 3rds.

My prediction Wales - Germany in the final ... well I dislike Portugal also so my preference is that.

Germany has had enormous success over the decades though. England are the Jets of international soccer.

So don't know if the other three would have helped them either. ;)

italians I think played better than they actually are talent wise, tactically super smart for skills that they do have, (and got one outrageously lucky break for the tie) to make it a real seesaw, close battle ..

i totally agree with you

Who's winning today boys?

Germany has a bunch of squad selection issues - no Hummels (suspended), doubtful Schweinstieger, Khedira and Gomez out. A fully fit Germany beats this French team 2-0, but the lack of Hummels weakens the back line immensely and that worries me with Pogba and Payet playing the way they are....

Today i disagree with you.. I dont like this Germany team as i like France... Both of squads lack good CB/W
Both have solid defenders, but the Frech side has better and younger talent all over the field... Schweinsteiger, Gotze, Gomez and others are all way past their primes.

Neuer

Sagna
Hummels
Varane
Evra

Pogba
Matuidi
Payet
Muller

Griezman
Benzema

8 x 3 France IMO

France has not played anyone good so far in this tournament. Germany has played and beaten italy. Germany is more battle tested and has had 5 days of rest.

Such ugly futbol in this wales vs portugal
matchup. Any idea when cristiano ronaldo's gonna show up in one of those big games.

EU ACREDITOOOOOO!!!!!!

I BELIEVEEEEEEE!!!!!
