We need the B's to take down those lame ass division banners in the Garden. Hurting the vibe.

That's what I love about seeing Celtics games, nothing but championship banners and retired numbers. Championship or bust.

To be fair, the Celtics never had the Lakers in the same division.

Yes, that was lucky...for them.

Broussard lmao that clown

His "sources" are real reporters breaking news on Twitter first and he quickly copies them and posts 1 minute later

Pretty hypocritical to say that going to the Warriors makes him a coward but going to the East where there is ONE team worth a damn isn't taking the easy way out. KD goes to Boston, Celtics offer their 2 Nets picks to either Sacramento or Chicago and see if one bites. The Celtics would absolutely trade those picks because there is no need to stockpile assets when you have players like Durant and Horford in the fold.

Thomas Thomas
Bradley Butler
Durant Durant
Horford Horford
Cousins or Perkins/Olynyk/Johnson

If KD joining the Warriors makes you lose you respect but THAT Celtics roster doesn't, he didn't need your respect in the first place.

I would absolutely root for KD in Golden State, lol

That being said, id prefer he shock the world and become the next Boston icon... The greatest title in sports

Terrible comparisons. Even IF they got Cousins, which I doubt, it's different than hooking up with the unanimous MVP and a 73 win team and the "Splash Brothers". Who knows how it would comes together in Boston? Might be like '08 and win it all year one. Might not. It's pretty much game over for the league if he goes to GS for the next 2-3 years.

Just cruise the Internet forums for reactions to the idea of him going to GS. It's brutal. His image will never recover. If it's that way already before he possibly goes, watch out.

I agree with this. There's a certain public mentality that if he goes to a 73-win team which was 4 minutes away from back to back championships, it would be so ridiculous as to be unfair.

IMHO, it speaks to his own self confidence. If he goes to Golden State, he admits he needs to go to a championship caliber team in order to win a championship. If he stays in OKC or picks Boston, that shows his belief that he can make a team a championship team.

Now Durant may not care about the public perception, or he may believe that eventually everyone will get over it and simply remember the number of rings he has..... but man, winning in Oakland would sure come with a big asterisk in a lot of peoples' minds.

KD has foot issues. He's already 28 and one bad step from being Bill Walton in his later years. Any team that takes him on will have to be wary of that. There's no absolute guarantee that he'd run the NBA on GS. Under Brad Stevens, the Celtics could easily run off 2 or 3 titles if those pieces came together. LeBron would petition the league to veto the deal if it came to that.

I think they run the table with KD period and nothing else. Or at the very least make it very, very interesting. With KD, the development of Smart, Bradley, Crowder, Horford and possibly Brown the defense would be stifling. I'd love to see GS or Cleveland try to deal with that. I really, really would.

Giving it about 10% chance he comes here

If there are 3 teams left, then arguably all have the same odds or close to it. So in reality, they have a 30ish percent chance.

Going to GSW is a ***** move and you know it.... Stop trying to defend it

Curt Schilling on Why Boston:

Why Boston?

You’re going to pick your next ‘home’, and I can honestly tell you there is no place on this planet like Boston.

You come here, you help win a title and it won’t be a celebration. It’s a revival, it’s a “you will never be forgotten and never have to buy another beer” kind of championship.

These people live for their teams, their athletes, you come here, bust your ass (which I don’t think will ever be an issue) and you leave it all on the floor and you’ll have a few million folks who’ll name kids, dogs and whatever else they can, Kevin, KD, Durant or some other derivative.

I’ve got no skin in the game other than these people, they treated my family and I like royalty from the day we came here.

Love that they bought in TB12 for recruiting and Papi calling/texting him.

Love the Horford signing.

I still think he goes back to OKC but you have got to respect the effort the C's have in building a championship-caliber squad

At a minimum they have given KD something to think about. It's all you can ask for.

Just saw JE making his plea to KD by wearing a #35 jersey. Nice thought but someone needs to take him aside and provide him with a little history lesson as it is not available.
