Brady Helping Celtics Recruit Kevin Durant

In a world where professional sporting teams, inside their own cities, compete for attention, seeing an NFL star and an MLB star attempt to recruit an NBA star is something special.

Don't take this lightly kids. It's a big deal and speaks volumes about the camaraderie of Boston sports. If only the media wasn't so hell bent on pitting them against one another or attempting to tear down franchises...

It's interesting to me that Cities and Regions ignore themselves and focus on Franchises.

01 ~ We ~ the Team founded as The Boston Red Stockings ~ were BaseBall Champions 12 Times before 1903. The fact that the Franchise is currently in Atlanta doesn't change the fact that our GrandParents's GrandParents traveled from all over New EngLand to root for our Team.

02 ~ The 1904 Championship is ours, as well, and if I ever own this Team, the historical Record about that will be corrected. After the new Boston Team ~ at that point we called ourselves The Boston Americans, which is synonymous with Boston Patriots or Boston Yankees, as I see it ~ won the first "Modern" World Series, won the American League Championship again in 1904...and then went unchallenged, as the New York Giant Wimps failed to find the guts to play us!!

Shows how invested Tom Brady has become in the Boston area. He isn't a Cal boy anymore.

I'm so freaking jacked about this Coup!!

Our Chances with Durant just tripled.

I think he's coming here...OKC told KD they would push hard for Horford if he canceled the Hamptons visits, well....basically pretty us, GS, and OKC and he probably isn't happy with OKC right now.

KD would be a bigger signing than KG in 07. No offense to KG, we got the tail end of his prime when he signed in Boston. After 2007, KG regressed big-time because of injuries--he wasn't a top 10 player anymore. It's a shame the Celtics couldn't get more than one ring. They got super close in 2010, but just ran out of gas in LA.

KD is easily a top 2-3 player--and he should maintain his level of play for another 3-4 years. His offensive game is some of the purest the game has ever seen.

The C's have more than enough defensively to roll Cleveland, they need star power and scoring power. Plus, if Durant comes to the East, he'll have an easier run to the ECF than if he stays with OKC who'll be running through the Spurs and Warriors.

I like the C's depth much, much more than the Cavs but they have a significant advantage with Irving and James. That needs to be somewhat closed for the C's to beat them.

Even with KD, we have our work cut out for us. Horford can't let TT eat his lunch again in the playoffs.

Easy, guys-KD is still a LONG shot to come here. Id be happy as a pig in **** if he did, but also shocked. Far greater odds he stays okc or goes gs. But that doesnt dampen the fact that what happened today , especially with Tb12, but also Big Papi, Pot Roast etc was really cool. My favorite though was apicture of him and jae crowder standing next to each other on the tarmac waiting for Kds plane-they both looked cool-but crowder had a subtle finger pointed at Tom-that basically said" can you believe that im standing here with Tom-****in-Brady!" I love the camaraderie among Boston teams/players that really involves all 4 teams and all 4 coaches-and goes back over 15 years-but you can tell-even with ortiz-and hes a legend-Tom is the undisputed king and theyre all in awe of him.

Six players Pierce, KG, and Allen then KD, Horford, and Thomas. KD is easily the best of the six especially compared to where they all were/are 08 v now. But the real tricky part is that Horford nor Thomas are close to the other 4.

Get KD and we got some hope to compete but it still likely will require something else. Fortunately we still got other assets too.

Nobody cares about Bible times

So GS, SA, OKC and the C's, is OKC Durant's team or Westbrook's, GS is Curry's team Durant will be second fiddle, SA has Pop but is he interested in SA, could be, don't think their presentation matched the C's

IF he signs with the C's it will be HIS team he will be the alpha dog inthis town the face of the Franchise in a big TV market. Stevens isn't Pop but he is a bright young coach. Boston reveres it;s superstars. look at Papi and Brady ot LArry Bird or KG and Pierce. We also have aperhaps 2 solid lottery picks the next couple of years + an improving franchise.

One year deal sign him to a multi year ma deal next year after the cap explodes we have the $$$ to get this done.

**** I can't sleep tonight. I'm glued to my phone...I'm going to go crazy if we land Durant.

KD will make a decision in 24-36 hours. I think he is coming to Boston!
