Lol Sheldon Richardson only one game suspension for carchasegate

If I was Richardson I'd appeal so that Goddell could get Wells to tell the world that Speeding at 140mph is the new 50 and having a hand gun is ok because a Jihad terrorist is likely to car jack you. The pot smell was just a smelly Christmas tree he got whilst in Denver. He could then get his suspension chucked out for crying out loud. He'd be stupid not too.

Of course, our token Jests fan is defending the indefensible. In the words of Claude Rains, "I am outraged there is gambling going on here!"

Nope, it was legal. And no weed found.

@ReverendMaynard, what's wrong with this post? It's just fact and I was answering a question. I can sort of understand the other dislikes since maybe you didn't like the idea of Sheldon appealing this to the courts, but this one?

what's wrong with your post that the gun was legal ?? how about you neglect to mention the semi automatic was fully loaded and there was a 12 yr old in the car. never mind that he turned the headlights off while driving to evade the police and he also lost control of the vehicle and slid into oncoming traffic.

Yet the gun was completely legal. A good portion of this country isn't like us North Easterners. We tend to demonize and are afraid of guns. The couple years I spent out West taught me most consider guns a completely normal aspect of daily life. As in 10 year olds get 'em for Bday presents.

What Sheldon did was dumb enough. No need to embellish with misleading accusations. The gun and "smell" of weed had no bearing on things.

He was speeding, granted in a car that could handle 150mph better than economy cars can handle 75mph, but still bad. And obviously tried evading police.

Which is what he was charged with. And deserving of the suspension given a rough track record so far. If it was a first offense, doubt there'd be any suspension for it.

I dislike all of your posts for their very presence. They are, after all, the product of a jest fan.

Oh ok. That makes sense.
Cheers! :D And Happy 4th weekend!

Stop trying to justify and mitigate what he did. There is no street legal car in the world that handles a collision at 150 mph better than an economy car at 75, not to mention that others cars he may potentially collide with would be one of the aforementioned economy cars.

This guy acted with extreme callousness and reckless disregard for human life. The fact that he was in a nice car does nothing to change that.

The gun part of this whole thing is like the least problematic of all

The most laughable part of this thread really isn't @JetFan79 trying to defend Richardson. The best line came from the Jets fan who said "Woody finally looks like he gets it." That one was priceless.

Credit to Matt Chatham for bringing this up:

Spikes had a 4 games drug suspension in 2010, but that car accident was his first infraction under the personal conduct program. He was suspended 4 games.

"Alosi concocted the whole tripping scheme by himself!!@! It was Alosi that MADE the Jet players line up in a wall and trip runners all week long at practice!!! Rex knew NOTHING about it!!!!..."

another day, another sub-mongoloidal tick brain in green concocting malignant fairy tales to polish the turd that is HIS team.

It'll keep happening like this until we're used to it. In fact, most NFL fans are already there, too distracted by the shiny new things to question the disparity in punishments.

so what if the gun was legal ! IT WAS A FULLY LOADED SEMI AUTOMATIC WEAPON.

we dont demonize guns. we demonize adults that go on high speed car chases trying to evade police, turning the headlights out to evade police, swerving into oncoming traffic, smoking pot and carrying a fully loaded semi automatic weapon all the while a 12 year old child is in the car. that's who we demonize . who the hell cares if the gun was legal ? let the cops sort that crap out. he should be in jail, not in the league.

The cops did sort it out and he was charged with evading and speeding I believe.

So I'll say again... "What Sheldon did was dumb enough. No need to embellish with misleading accusations. The gun and "smell" of weed had no bearing on things."

I can't tell if I'm going all cray-cray like Joker or if it's late onset alzheimers, but the idea that the NYJFL league front office has it in for the Pats and is totally biased for the Jests resonates with me.
