Chris Simms: Tom Brady '100 percent' deserves to be suspended

"“Yes, of course he deserves to be suspended for this,” Simms said of Brady’s alleged role in Deflategate. “He took the integrity of the game into his own hands."

"But it does give you a competitive advantage."

"If there weren’t advantages and it wasn’t a big deal, then why didn’t you just pump the footballs up to 13.5 and be, ‘Oh, I’m not worried about it’? He had every ball, they said before the game started, at 12.5,” Simms said. “Now I know everyone wants to claim the weather and that whole theory and all that crap, right? That’s a bunch of crap.”"

Clearly Simms knows more about science than the numerous different guys with PhDs and Doctorates in Physics and Physical Science that have spoken to the contrary..

He should submit an amicus curiae brief on behalf of the NFL.

Chris at least did not have the career that TB has had. Tom will go to the HOF!

Kid had all the talent in the world and a 10 cent brain. Now he has no talent and a 5 cent brain.

Are you suggesting that the Value of his Brain has deflated?

He called it "Murphy's gas law".

I guess this is what happens when you have your spleen removed, you are no longer able to function in normal society??

Didn't Exponent also refer to it as "Murphy's gas law" in the Well's report?

I was channel surfing this morning among the various sports talk shows and saw that Simms was on WFAN/CBSSports as Carton's replacement with Esiason. As soon as I saw Simms, I moved on and didn't return. If anyone had the stomach to watch or listen, I'd be curious how Esiason responded to Simms nonsense. I find Esiason very different toward the Patriots on that show than he is on the CBS pre game show on Sunday. Not that I'm surprised by that.

How would you characterize Esiason's differences in those two settings? Not very familiar with either of them.

This dumbass is like clockwork. Says something derogatory about Brady every so often to remind people he hasn't fallen off the face of the earth.

Not sure why anyone is surprised by this, he's been bashing TB for over a year over deflate-gate. I honestly think he's only doing it to get attention (and in return maybe money?), because whenever he writes or says something negative about Brady and his role in deflate-gate, he gets interviews on Boston radio, think he even got a spot on national radio last year by saying he was a QB and he knew exactly when a ball didn't feel right and that TB totally knew and told his guys to deflate the ball. Hell there was a pretty long thread on here about him about it last year.

Guessing he's low on cash right now and so he mentions Brady and will now get paid to give interviews on his reasoning. We are all such suckers.

Simms was with the Patriots briefly as coaching assistant, wasn't he? If he knows something about Brady doing something with the footballs, he should say so.

These comments read more like some personal animosity toward Brady or the Patriots. I'm not sure why.

Chris Simms was one of the worst QBs i have ever seen. He has disgraced his father (who's incredibly boring) and the football fraternity. What an embarassment

Based on Chris Simms statements he should be the next NFL Commissioner, ESPN President, or head up any major media outlet.
While he wasn't much of an NFL QB he does his new profession proud.

On the national pre game show, he's much more middle of the road, but once in a while he'll stray to extremes. Sometimes very complimentary, while at other times snarky. I remember one example of the latter either last season or the one before. Bill Cowher had an interview with Belichick which was very positive and Cowher right after was pretty much gushing about Bill, calling him the best coach ever, etc. Esiason interrupted and brought up Spygate and how Belichick was guilty of serious cheating, etc. On his WFAN radio show, he seems to me to be more often in the latter mode than in the complimentary one. For example, after Judge Berman's ruling last summer he made a sarcastic remark about Kraft and Berman partying together on Long Island on Labor Day weekend days after the ruling. Could be due to his NY audience each day on WFAN. Anyway, I was just wondering if he agreed or disagreed today with Simms's idiocy.

"Listening to Chris Simms": how is this still a thing?o_O

If it wasn't for his daddy, his name would carry no more weight than Mike Glennon or Major Applewhite.

Pretty sure Chris Simms was the guy who claimed that Brady wasn't even in the top 5 NFL QBs anymore, so he's definitely proven to have some animosity towards the club.
