Tom Brady Is Under Too Much Pressure

Oline is everything and it has been a mess for awhile. The loss of Welker, who instantly got open, and Scar just helped bring everything to light. I expect big changes this year. Outside of Solder, no one seems truly safe.

Our running game throughout last year's preseason was pathetic and it carried on into the regular season. Vanilla plays showcase who can and cannot(Kline) run block. I imagine guys like Dola, Edelman, Blount, and Lewis will get very little playing time and some backups will shine. I think it is vital to find anyone capable of actually rushing the ball.

We brought in Scar. That will help, hopefully. But yeah our OLine needs to be a helluva lot better than it was last year, and even the Butler year as even then it was brilliant schemes that covered OL play that needed work (toward the end of the season anyway).

Can we get this guy back in pads maybe?

I am not a chicken little but Brady IS getting older and Avocado Ice cream can only make you so pliable.

The dude is a machine, of course he is. But a little help please would be great. I have said it before many times and I will say it again, we are still in the window of this team going as far as the offensive line will support Brady. No time...?...very little shot....

With out a doubt.......the greatest of all time.

To quote someone's post of several years ago, we should just go out and sign all pro bowl players for every position.

Look, there is limited X amount of money, draft pick crap shoot, FA crap shoot. BB and staff could throw it all into the OL and that still would not guarantee a good OL. BB and staff will fail sometimes. I hope with Scar back we will be more on the + side but we'll see what we see.

I tell ya, there were times the OL left me feeling very uneasy (which is from the safety of my couch). So I'm sure Brady was/is uneasy on some level too sitting behind these guys during a game. Other times it was receivers not being the kind of skill/skillset to compliment the Patriots/Brady way of quick release. And the running game has been up and down which obviously doesn't help either. And there have even been times defenses have thrown Brady off more than Patriot shortcomings.

Brady plays a game he loves to play. From pretty much every report ever it says the guy is extremely motivated and passionate to play and win. I'm guessing he probably can't comprehend retiring and keeps himself in excellent shape. And every single year the Patriots either win it, are there, or are very close by. Our cup runneth seriously over. And it runs over even with the failures that are sure to happen on the way to ultimate success.

Brady will sooner rather than later get to a +/- point that will see our cup not runneth over with him at QB. I hope he retires before that. I also hope it's 3 or 4 more years he has left in the tank but time waits for no man. The aging body just doesn't heal/respond as quickly to the normal wear and tear of the NFL season.

If the OL sucks it is variably worse......but even a good OL will still see Brady take a lot of wear and tear. If Brady is approaching greater concern from the possibility of more than normal pressure? To quote Bill, it is what it is.

And yet he was a missed XP away from probably winning another SB last season.

brady got hit a lot in 2014. just because they won the super bowl last year doesn't mean the oline was great. michael bennett abused him in the super bowl.

NFL Stats: by Team Category

2012 - 62 hits

2013- 81 hits

2014 - 82 hits

2015 - 97 hits

Good lord. 97 hits at his age. That's not good. It's a testament to his toughness that he was able to finish out that season. It's a miracle he didn't get injured.
