I am sorry I missed your point re: my post. Please explain if you can, thanks.
Sorry, just in the general context of the league making up nonsense to discredit the Patriots, or just dumping on the Patriots and people - including local media - accepting and going along with it.

**** the local media...Goodell has shyt on ME and I'm ****ing pissed off about it. He's an idiot. I don't give a shyt about his money, or his political family or any of his millionaire boys club buddies. Only a punk uses his status and connections to shyt all over millions of hard working, honest men and women. I swear, if I ever run across this mutt, it will NOT be pretty.

That is not what a p-value means. Trust this data analyst at your own risk.

Yes, technically you are correct -- this sentence is incomplete and not entirely accurate. It's a simplification of a concept for the lay-reader who would be overly confused and bogged down by what on earth a p-value is.

His definition of p-value, a core concept in his argument, is wildly wrong and, which is worse, wildly misleading. I agree with you that a lay reader would be confused and bogged down by the appropriate use of a p-value. I am simply informing the lay reader that the author is not using the p-value appropriately at all. It's not that the author is simplifying or even over-simplifying. The author is confusing and probably fundamentally confused.

Show the usage to a quantitative methodologist at any R1 university. She or he will agree that it is hogwash. I am not nitpicking. I am always happy with useful simplification. That's what I taught my R1 sudents in my methodology classes, and that was basically the gist of my R1 dissertation in quantitative data analysis. Simplification is good. Misleading is bad. The author's use of p-values is bad. Of course, don't trust me. Read a high-quality book on data analysis. Maybe start with Jacob Cohen.

None of this matters anymore, the ignoramuses have decided and spoken: Brady lied and must be punished.

Science, truth and facts do not matter to these folks - Science is a lie, facts are only permissible if it reinforces their beliefs, and truth is only what the victors write in their history books.
